This post is way off.
1) Liberals have no tolerance for anyone who doesn’t think like they do.
2) Liberals only talk about compassion, look at how Sarah Palin and her family were, and still are treated.
3) Being nice? Read #2 again.
4) Diversity? Diversity of thought is not allowed even to a slight degree.
I love it. I’ll post it to FB so my yucky commie cousin can see some garbage from ME for a change.
Tolerance that has gone as far as suggested is not tolerance, it is condoning and celebration.
And unity is better than diversity. Commies divide and conquer.
Behind every pseudo virtue of the left is another real reason for their activities.
The real argument for gun control is slavery.
The real argument for diversity is division
The real argument for tolerance is ability to rape
Etc...
The left is sick.
But self-esteem is not a virtue. In fact, it is one of the “eight grievous vices” which St. John Cassian catalogued, indeed the most subtle and difficult to overcome of these vices.
If you read his work of that title, you will see that it is not just empty self-esteem which is a vice, but self-esteem growing out of accomplishment, and why.
Jesus didn’t mean “never” judge. . he was essentially pointing out that if you judge. . .you better be living in accordance with the standard by which you judge. . .He was also indicating that sometimes mercy, not judgement, is the more appropriate course of action. . .but even mercy doesn’t imply “business as usual”. . .God’s mercy is displayed within the context of recognition of my sin, the emotion of regret and repentance ...and the commitment to “go and sin no more.”
It’s not really “taking it to the extreme”.
Their ideology is, at its base, Satanic, and Satan takes anything good and twists it to perversion and wickedness.
ping for later
Should be called “Five virtues that liberals use as hypocritical and cynical weapons to get what they want “
The Five Horsemen of the liberal apocalypse.
None of those “virtues” are really Christian virtues at all. Tolerance b necessity requires a subject -what are you tolerant of? Theefore not a virtue.
Nice: ? What is that? Again it is a subjective thing and PC whether one is described as “nice”.
Compassionate - The real virtue is Charity, i.e. as in divine love.
I cannot remember the other two, and would have to go back to the story, but you get my point.
