The Obama administration is considering letting people keep existing individual insurance policies that are not ObamaCare compliant beyond 2014, perhaps as long as three years.

Late last year millions of Americans learned that President Obama's promise, "if you like it plan, you can keep it," wasn't actually true. Their insurance plans were being canceled because they didn't meet ObamaCare provisions.

Exempt everybody until he leaves office. That way it will be the Republicans’ fault.

If our Emperor Obama thinks this is a wise move, then let his will be done.

All Hail!

Isn’t it cool how a dictator can just change laws as he feels like?

Would it be that difficult for the HOR to pass raising the debt ceiling in exchange for removing the Obamacare mandate and the subsidies to insurance companies forever? I hate the debt ceiling being raised, but in the long run it would help the economy. Besides which who could vote against it? The Republicans who secretly support it because their insurance company paymasters are profiting would have to come clean.

So we had to jam this through 4 years ago...to delay it for 3 more years now?

Just another short-term ploy for votes.

As with all other purely political moves by this Administration, the uncertainty in the marketplace those moves create results in further disruptions and destructions of business opportunities and jobs--all of which creates suffering and loss for citizens.

Aetna's CEO already has signaled his firm's position. Now, as a result of the sophomoric efforts of this Administration and its equally inept leaders, Pelosi and Reid, a company which, by personal knowledge, already was offering new coverage to Stage IV cancer patients prior to the abomination called ACA, was then forced to cancel those policies, and may now be forced to discontinue.

Truly. And, with this latest abject violation of the spirit of his intent, he is willing to let people die in order to protect Democrats’ tenure in Congress. Horrible, wasteful, hateful dogma. A true traitor to American humanity.

This vividly illustrates that this Administration is ALL ABOUT PERCEPTION, not substantive action that has value.

He had made millions of now-cancelled policies ILLEGAL under PPACA (OBAMACARE) and now he deigns to utter a decree and make it so the clock is set back on millions of cancelled policies? He doesn’t understand one scintilla of how business works. What we will be beset with if this happens is a massive, massive cost overrun that will have to be lied about - just like all the other savings his so-called health plan has claimed heretofore.

The fact that the media and press in this country reports this like it is something proper and legal that this poser can do is preposterous.

The administration was noncommittal, saying that it's considering "all sorts of ways" to offer consumers more choices

Wouldn't it have been better to have these discussions BEFORE passing the law? That way, you find out what's in it beforehand.

My way of thinking is that the next president can make all of this clown’s executive orders useless. Playing by Hussein’s rules, all the next president has to do is say all of Obama’s executive orders are USELESS. They are not law.

Playing by Obama’s rules, the next president could say, “We’re delaying ObamaCare for 100 years.”

Two can play that game.

not that I like 0bammycare, just wonder what would happen if the Tea Party and others that hate this law rally at the Washington Monument, chanting, “Enforce the Law, enforce the law...”

If you think about it, eventually, this dang law will destroy the country, so why not push the jerkwads that passed it be forced in to enforcing it. Put them all on the spot with no way out. (just a thought) this could even work with the illegals too?
