They had to shoot an unarmed man three times to stop him? I know they tried to stun him and that didnt work and he was a big wacked out dude. I know they had to defend themselves but it just seems they could have shot and stopped him without killing him.

If you need to use a fire arm, you shoot to kill. If you are in a situation that calls for a wounding shot, the firearm should not be out of the holster.

Nobody is good enough to intentionally go for a wounding shot, wounding shots are an accident or poor training.

Why would you want to wound him. If you wound him then you got the big delima of whether tax payers pay for his housing in prison or the zoo.

You can’t stop a zombie by just shooting him. It has to be a fatal headshot. Otherwise it’ll just keep coming.

You should probably look up some information on use of force and force continuum training.

Guns are a lethal force and are not to be used for less than lethal force reasons. There is no such thing as “shoot to wound or injure” for a variety of tactical and legal reasons.

Also don’t base your understanding of guns on tv or movies.
