Her suicide tendencies didn't show up "all of a sudden." Suicide just doesn't happen that way.
There WERE signs of it all through her life, especially in her early to mid teens, where those folks often make life-changing decisions, without a CLUE as to their consequences and repercussions.

Yes, it is SO sad and she WAS a beautiful girl.
She's with her Maker now, safe for eternity.

She was also WAY, way too thin. I bet she was anorexic too.

“Although it is not typically used to diagnose depression, electroencephalography (EEG) testing has been used to study how depression affects the brain’s function. With EEG, electrodes that are stuck to the head send safe amounts of electrical currents into the brain, causing brain cells to react. Activity appears different in certain parts of the depressed brain — such as those responsible for behavior — than in the brain of a person who does not have depression.”

This being said, it seems to me that institutions like a university could easily afford a high tech version of an EEG, that would be no more difficult to use than putting on a baseball cap. Then, with computer diagnosis, if a student evidenced the clinical signs of depression, they could get further analysis to confirm it, and get the offer of therapy.

I’m sure it’s a sad story but the headline is stupid. As if something called “suicide” is out there stalking unwary prey.

No data but, a lot of people think about suicide, not many act.

You watch. Next it will be: “nobody can own a gun, because you might commit suicide.” Where are the “right to die” liberals? Freedom for me, never for thee.
