Scarlett Johansson is ending her relationship with a humanitarian group after being criticized over her support for SodaStream, the Israeli company with a factory in the West Bank.
A statement released by Johanssons spokesman Wednesday said the 29-year-old actress has a fundamental difference of opinion with Oxfam International because the humanitarian group opposes all trade from Israeli settlements, saying they are illegal and deny Palestinian rights. [ ]
SodaStream has come under fire from pro-Palestinian activists for maintaining a large factory in the West Bank settlement of Maale Adumim, some 10 minutes from Jerusalem. The factory employs more than 500 Palestinians.

I remember her making fun of Bush.
She’s not what you might consider a patriot. I remember something about a story in which she demonstrated strong aversion, hostility regarding the US Army on some issue or another.
Israeli owned....I guess I’ll have to buy one!!

“Oxfam must be like the democrats - they need those they purport to represent to be poor and ignorant.”
Correct. It’s basically the store front for the Communist Party in Europe.
Oxfam, besides continual anti-Semitic nonsense was behind the bogus “115 people have half the wealth in the world” story.
She worked with the Anti-Zionist Oxfam for over a decade. She only broke with them when not doing so would hurt her bottom line.
I suspect her bottom line will hold up just fine, in every sense.
Reportedly she commands up to $20 million, for certain movies anyway.
What miniscule fraction of that do you suppose Oxfam offers her?
She's been in Hollywood since youth and is probably hardly schooled in geopolitics. To the contrary, we all know she has been brainwashed and groupthinked since she hit town.
Easiest thing in the world would have been to denounce Soda Stream's "apartheid" (as the rest of the mob is so sickeningly doing) and stick with Oxfam.
Maybe the girl learned something and made the right call. She wouldn't be the first heedless lefty to begin to see the world clearly.
