Malkin: Lessons for Shove Guv Andrew Cuomo
Creators Syndicate ^ | January 22, 2014 | Michelle Malkin

Not so fast, Andrew Cuomo. We see what you did there. After publicly bashing conservative New Yorkers as "extreme" people who have no place in his state, the intolerant Democratic governor wants to blame the media for his unmistakable contempt for those who oppose abortion, support gun rights and defend traditional marriage.

Newsflash: Crapweasel politicians can backtrack and scapegoat, but they can't hide.

When he railed against socially conservative Republican candidates in a radio interview last week, Cuomo hyperbolically singled out those he called "right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay" citizens. Sounding unapologetically purge-tastic, the governor said these political opponents "have no place in the state of New York, because that's not who New Yorkers are." His bigoted comments provoked a fierce social-media-driven backlash led by devout Catholics and Second Amendment activists in the Empire State. And now, he's got job-creating, tax-paying conservative business people threatening to leave. Heckuva job, Andy!

In a desperate damage control attempt, Cuomo issued a statement claiming that the New York Post "distorted" his words. It's always the messenger's fault. The Shove Guv also accused his critics of being "entirely reckless with facts and the truth." Really? There was no equivocation in Cuomo's political eviction wish. Whether he was talking about conservative candidates and/or the voters and donors who support them, you can't get any clearer than "have no place in the state of New York."

Translation: You don't belong. Pack your bags. Don't let the door hit ya on the way out. Scram.

Uh, Andy buddy? Some bad news - it's on tape. And the Post didn't distort anything. What we heard was an extremist who thinks he's a moderate; a crowing, intolerant, chest-thumping, insular bigot who thinks that political dissent is grounds for physical expulsion. "I didn't really say that" isn't going to cut it. You did.

This is going to be an extraordinarily ugly political year, and people like Cuomo would be humbled if they were capable of the virtue of humility. What a pity for the country that they are not.

Yep, both of them tell it like it is when it comes to liberals, they don’t pull punches.

RE :”Malkin: Lessons for Shove Guv Andrew Cuomo”

Just imagine if Ted Cruz said in a speech:
There is no place in America for progressives (liberals) who are destroying this country. Get out for your own good”

Or if a Republican said :
There is no room for gays in (his Southern conservative state)”

All hell would break loose

The Catholic church in NY should ban the SOB from ever being in a church again. Period.

“And now, he’s got job-creating, tax-paying conservative business people threatening to leave.”

And that is our only hope. This kind of frank talk is great news, everyone knows he meant it.

If you have acquired wealth and wish to keep or grow it, you had better get out of blue states while you can. We can pick up the pieces later and huge fortunes will be made.

Exactly! We heard them or saw them with our own lyin' eyes and ears and they have the gall to say their words are being twisted. Amazing.

We really need to bring back tar and feathers.

I’m pretty sure Cathy Donohue, one of the people shown in the photos, is the sister of William Donohue, head of the Catholic League.

No thanks. The pro-deathers can have NY all to themselves.

It may be a saving grace that they are not capable of humility.

I’d have to tell you I’ve worked in NYC and lived in upstate New York for awhile(near Cooperstown) The two regions might as well be two separate countries really. There is no love loss between the two. Folks upstate are not like the ‘’city folk’’.

Thanks for linking, that’s a very good article.

The speakers made excellent points while at the same time not lowering themselves to Cuomo’s level.

I believe this policy is what prompted a HUGE, multi-page business real estate advertising supplement last week. I think it was the Times; could have been the Journal. Now that he’s started this thing, he’s not going to be able to screen out the conservatives. Ha. Ha.

Given the state that NY has gotten itself into with its crooked politicians, we might run out of tar and feathers within a week.

New Yorkers have some understanding of big industry. They’ll have to set up an assembly line and do it in large batches! lol

You are right. They are VERY different. I go to the state conventions sometimes (GOP) and so get to see the political types from all over the state in action.

It is an eye-opener.

They have completely different issues locally and statewise, and are MUCH more conservative than the NYC people. The ones from the western part of the state speak with Midwestern accents, just to give you an idea. It’s a big state.
