You have a bright future as a SyFy channel screen writer!

The movie's tagline:

POLARSHARKNADO! Just when you thawed it was over!

Average Dec/Jan/Feb high in LA is 68 degrees. When do you have winter?

I'm hoping for a foot of snow and 20-below temperatures

With white-out conditions.

Thanks for the interesting comment.

For the past three days here in the States, the only MSM weather coverage we have had about your neighborhood is from the Australian Tennis Open.

108 degree temperatures, players fainting from the heat, and, apparently, the entire continent is on fire, except for the Tennis Stadium.

I think the MSM became REALLY embarrassed when all those Antarctic ice breakers got frozen in place during the warmest month of your year.

Consequently, we now see non-stop photos and videos of burning homes, dead livestock, and pictures of thermometers.

It is so cold here in Central Florida that I might have to break out my Florida snowsuit, more commonly referred to as socks.

Thank you. He was the first dog I ever lost since I was an adult. He was all mine, walks, baths, vets, and feeding. His death came fast in the night. He was only 6.

Sorry about your dog. I’ve said good-bye to 3 in my adult life. Have 2 labs now, 5 years old.

My dog was just 6 years old. I never expected it. I thought he would be the dog my kids would grow up knowing. He died at 2am. I put him in the garage so the kids wouldn’t see him. I dug his grave around 9 am. I just couldn’t bury him. I just didn’t want to see him for the very last time. Every time I looked at him, I was would breakup. I eventually did around 4pm. Since I am in New England, I hit about 15 large rocks trying dig his grave. I put some of them on top of it. It will help me remember him. Also, prevent me from accidently digging him up when I expand my children’s tree fort.

Two labs, I am jealous. I will wait to get another dog. Other than being very sad about the one I lost, I want to wait until spring, so that I can have a full summer to train it, and let him learn about his new home and family.

I’m so sorry about your pup. When Bean died it was the saddest I’ve ever been. Still sad almost 9 years later. He died during one of the hottest summers we had had in a long time. We knew he was dying, kidney failure, and I remember my husband and I digging his grave while he was laying their watching. It was so hot, I thought I was going to pass out. We had ordered him a doggie coffin on line so we had to dig extra wide and deep. Unfortunately, my husband didn’t put enough dirt on top so when we had a terrible thunderstorm the night after he died, the grave caved in and I had to redo the whole thing. It was terrible.

Anyway, have 2 more dogs that I really didn’t want. Didn’t want to go through the death thing again. Next time I will have them cremated and put in little boxes. Less stressful that way.

I hope you feel better soon.

an impending Polar Vortex sequel

OMG! I barely survived the last vortex and am steadily recovering.....I don't think I can sustain another.

I bid you adieu my friends.......Please see that my cat is taken care of.

I had a small dog (21 pounds), so the hole didn't have to be very big. I dug it 4.5 feet deep. Incidentally, it was the deepest hole I ever dug in New England. I certainly hope, I don't have to redo it. Fortunately, it wasn't super cold or super hot. I was most fortunate, that the ground wasn't frozen at all, like it always is in January. Weird winter really. I really wanted to bury him on my property, I am glad I didn't bring him to the Vet to cremate his body. I am dogless now. Now when I drop food on the floor, I have to remember to pick it up. When I am getting ready for work, I don't have to try to find him to take him out. All these minor things in my routine are absent.

Bean was only 23 pounds but because of the coffin we had to dig it a certain way. Of course, I live in Maryland, so we have all these rules about how deep it had to be. We actually had a plot for him in a doggie part of a people cemetery but when he died I just couldn’t part with him. It was my intention to dig him up and put him in his permanent grave when and if we moved or when I died. I have since changed my mind and he is where he is forever. Don’t know what I was thinking. He was almost 15 at the time so it was a tough thing.

I think my last winter in Gainesville was 1990.

I remember sitting in Krispy Kreme on 13th Street (maybe called MLKing Blvd now?) watching it snow.

It completely shut down the town for a few days because they couldn't clear the streets, and because snow covered tree branches fell on the power lines.

I like your snow suit joke.

Whenever it got really cold in Gainesville we used say, “If it gets any colder, I'm moving to Florida!”
