Predictions For 2014: Next Year Could Be Very Good For Sarah Palin, Republicans
The Inquisitr ^ | December 26, 2013 | Nathan Francis

Predictions for 2014 point to a very good year for Republicans, who have a chance to put behind the losses of 2012 with a good shot at winning the Senate and a surprise presidential candidate waiting in the wings.

The past year was something of a rebound for the GOP. After raising hopes of holding off Obama from being re-elected — and an entire election season painting him as incapable — Republicans were stunned by his seemingly easy re-election over Mitt Romney in 2012.

Beaten but not defeated, Republicans spent 2013 quietly building up the next generation of leaders, including possible presidential candidate Marco Rubio, a Senator from Florida. In New Jersey Governor Chris Christie cruised to re-election, gaining steam toward what could be a run of his own.

But predictions for 2014 show another dark horse candidate who may be building a resume for a presidential run — Sarah Palin.

After spending much of the last few years away from the spotlight, Palin made a number of appearances in Iowa, one of the most important state for Republican hopefuls.

Palin also ramped up her political attacks on President Obama, in what many see as a potential groundwork for her 2016 platform.

In a Facebook post entitled “Obama’s Debt Default is on His Shoulders While We Shoulder His Impeachable Offenses,” Palin said President Obama was to blame for the debt ceiling fight.

“Defaulting on our national debt is an impeachable offense, and any attempt by President Obama to unilaterally raise the debt limit without Congress is also an impeachable offense,” Palin wrote.

If Sarah Palin does have ideas of running for election in 2016, next year would be the time for her to increase her public appearances and speak out on more issues.

Other predictions for 2014 point to a resurgence for Republicans in Washington.

Nate Silver, the statistician who gained fame for his poll analysis system that was nearly dead-on in the 2008 and 2012 elections, believes that Republicans have a good chance of taking control of the Senate from Democrats in 2014. Posted on his site FiveThirtyEight, Nate Silver’s predictions for 2014 slowly began tilting toward Republicans. With 46 seats in the Senate, the GOP would need to flip a few races in order to gain majority. Silver said that Republicans can go on the offensive in 2014, winning the seats needed to retake the Senate for the first time in nearly a decade.

“A race-by-race analysis of the Senate, in fact, suggests that Republicans might now be close to even-money to win control of the chamber after next year’s elections. Our best guess, after assigning probabilities of the likelihood of a G.O.P. pickup in each state, is that Republicans will end up with somewhere between 50 and 51 Senate seats after 2014, putting them right on the threshold of a majority.”

If the predictions for 2014 pan out, Republicans would have much greater control in Washington for the last two years of President Obama’s term. And if predictions on Sarah Palin come to fruition, 2016 might be even better.

I can’t believe it has been 5 years and the commie lib “progs” still wet their pants when they hear her name. Proof that the commies still fear REAL Americans.

Dunno.

Way I see it, Christie is actually moderate Democrat, while Rubio is a moderate, but unreliable, ‘Pubbie - sort of a McCain without the senility. I think He’s actually better than my Senators, Isakson and Chambliss. Thank goodness Chambliss is retiring.

If the republicrats get to 50 or 51 you will see that Bastard McCain play the king maker with the resurgence of the gang of 7 selling out America over and over to push thru liberal programs in exchange for him to play war in some turd world shit hole.

If we whack some RINOs in the primaries, and get some more conservatives in the Senate, then my advice for McCain is to get some more TUMS....he’ll need em.

Sarah Palin is the only possible candidate that I'd actually send my hard earned, albeit meager, money to.

She's my dream candidate and the more liberals try to demonize her, the more I like her.

(And that includes the Palin bashers at F.R.)

I hope so. Somebody needs to throw our commie leaders out of the RNC. Then I would love to round up all liberals and force march them to our extreme west coast. Without flotation devices.

Lots are going to happen in the next year—remarkable things! I believe—like Huckabee, that Obama will not finish his term of office.

Yeah, but there’s no way Droolin’ Joe’s gonna win a national contest. The man requires a daily tutorial on how to wipe. Course, he might decide not to run in 16 “to spend time with the family” (and ensure his continued survival)
