I heard on Fox News last night that the federal health care site received one million hits. I thought there could be two possibilities for this. First, this is a lie and we’ll find out the true numbers in about three months. Second possibility is all the die heart liberals are in panic mode and decided to sign up (like Obama)-not realizing the premiums/deductibles their going to have to pay.
If this is the first case, then the death spiral is already happening and this administration is trying to hide the fact.
If this is the second case, the liberals will soon find out they have no money by which to fund their liberal causes because of the substantially higher health care costs. They will soon get a very rude awakening and their health care coverage will be dropped. The death spiral will continue.
In liberal Maryland which set up the exchange....apprx 30,000 register for expanded medicare vs 10,000 who get private insurance.
Medicare will go broke and private insurers will not have a large enough base to spread the pain. Rates, deductibles, AND taxes will have to go up.
DU is crowing about how California’s website is working well, and signing up thousands a day. I’m sure there are glitches to that that story that they are unaware of, and unwilling to even consider, like payment issues. The New Year is going to be amusing to watch.
