IT WAS astonishing to hear President Obama, in the preamble to his end-of-year news conference last week, cite Syria as one of his foreign policy successes.
[J]ust as were strengthening our position here at home, were also standing up for our interests around the world, Mr. Obama said. This year weve demonstrated that with clear-eyed, principled diplomacy, we can pursue new paths to a world thats more secure, a future where Iran does not build a nuclear weapon, a future where Syrias chemical weapons stockpiles are destroyed.
Unfortunately, the White House press corps was not as struck by this boast as were we, and there were no follow-up questions. Heres what we would have asked:
Mr. President, Syria is in the process of giving up its chemical weapons, as you say. At the same time, its been more than two years since you both predicted and demanded the resignation of Syrias dictator Bashar al-Assad. Yet he has strengthened his position and continues to commit war crimes.
His forces are besieging hundreds of thousands of people, deliberately starving them to death, according to your secretary of state. His helicopters are dropping barrel bombs on apartment buildings in Aleppo, bombs typically packed with screws, scrap metal, old car parts, blades and explosives, as one activist told the Wall Street Journal. More than 9 million Syrians better than a third of the country have been driven from their homes. Is this record consistent with standing up for our interests around the world?

Only Obama (and his corrupt MSM)
could consider the USA supporting
the beheading of Christians,
the empowering of Iran,
and the arming of al Qaeda with sarin,
a “success”.
If he considers Syria a success what does he call a failure?
If something good happens in the world, Obama takes credit. If something bad happens, he just read about it the papers, and he’s more outraged than anybody.
Pooty Poot gets to claim that victory.
Even the Washington Post noticed that Emperor Barack is naked
supporting America’s sworn enemies all around the (Islamic) world, plus (and they are mostly the same murderous terrorist gangs and “governments”) supporting those that subjugate or murder Christians and Jews and blow up churches....
and protecting, supporting, and now funding the Iranian Islamonazis’ development of nuclear bombs and ICBMs to deliver them (to America, their “Great Satan” and numero Uno announced target)
all these are tremendous successes for the current regime in WashDC. what sane person would have ever thought that the American people would tolerate such subversion from our own govt? indeed, vote for it (twice)?
He’s had some immense successes, achieving things most human beings would have thought impossible just 5 or 6 years ago
alas.
pray for America!

Clearly the Washington Compost is doing a little CYA. Thanks Brad from Tennessee.
Obama believes he never fails; the MSM strongly agrees.

To which, I would add...
"And, Mr. President, the guys you're supporting are even worse..."
