Back when I had the Family Farm, we had several ponds and numerous pairs of Canadian geese would come in early March, begin nesting on the shores of the spring-fed ponds, and by April, would have 5-6 goslings each. They'd spend a month or two marching them around, teaching them how to fish (ate many of my small Koi!) and pull edible waterlilies from the bottom, and then fly away in May.

Then, the even more ducks would come in and nest and have their many broods of ducklings and repeat the performance. It was magical, except for getting too near the nests, and the males would come screaming after us and chase us and the cats all the way into one of the buildings. Damn, those geese are fast and nasty when they're protecting the brood!

Look carefully and you can see all the goslings...

I want to wish everybody here a Merry Christmas. Been very busy working 2 jobs.

70 hours a week. My body is sore. Lifting the cardboard boxes. Pulling the air pods too.

1st job is IT.

2nd job loading airplanes for Big Brown.

One of my female office employees took her lunch over to that pond one day, and about 20mins later, I heard her screaming hysterically. I grabbed my Henry Big Boy lever action .357 Magnum rifle from the safe, had on my Kimber .45 and ran outside to help.

When I got to her, she was white as a ghost, and her lunch sandwich, chips and drink were spilled all over the large flat boulder many employees and visitors sat on to watch the geese and ducks.

She told me that a black & yellow 4-5ft “lizard or something” came out of the water and was staring at her, hissing and snarling. Yikes; I spent 3 days and evenings, off-and-on, sitting near the pond waiting for it to re-appear. Never did.

When she went home, I checked her desk for drugs and booze... LOL. She was very shaken and I have no doubt she saw “someting”, but after I did hours of research into what kind of large “lizard” could live that far north, there wasn’t any such amphibian. I even had a friend, the county Fish & Game Warden and two Sheriff Deputys come by to talk with her, and she convinced them she saw “something’, but none of us ever saw it again.

I listened to the CP podcast after I got home mid-afternoon, and his announcement about being nationally-syndicated was a nice deal for him and WMAL. He’ll do well.

Goose and duck poop has a ‘greenish tinge’ to it; the smell’s pretty distinctive, too. Kinda like pigpoop.

I don’t know. I can’t stand to listen or watch that POS, anymore. Haven’t for the past 6-8mos. I turn-off the radio when I hear that voice, like I did with BJ Klintoon&Co.

Hi all. Heard on a local talk radio station that Cracker Barrel is pulling all their Duck Dynasty merchandise. Sad. Really sad.

Cracker Barrel is pulling all their Duck Dynasty merchandise.

If they're doing it because all the profits go to A&E, it's a good thing, right?

Perhaps they are pulling Duck Dynasty items,,,AKA A&E profit
and replacing it with Duck COmmander items (Phil and family profit) At least one can hope :-)

As you watch the end of the show, keep in mind that if one drummer drops his stick, the show is over. This is in front of Edinburgh Castle.
