Widow Jamie Schare Friedland told mourners Wednesday she was thankful for the time she had with her knight in shining armor — her husband Dustin, who died to protect her as armed robbers went after their $70,000 Range Rover.

The weeping widow of a brave lawyer killed by carjackers at a New Jersey mall said farewell Wednesday to her knight in shining armor.

"Dustin was the most chivalrous person," a crushed Jamie Schare Friedland told mourners at a packed synagogue. "He would run to make sure he opened the car door before I got there, for me. There wasn't a bag anyone ever carried in Dustin's presence that he didn't help with."

"Dustin always did the right thing, always."

Lesson learned.

Throw your keys on the ground and shoot them in the head while they are going for them.

I am not going down without a fight and will take as many down as I can. Thankfully, I live in a state with good gun laws. God help the bastard that tries this on me.

Are we allowed to call this a hate crime yet? Or was it done out of love?

West Palm Bch, FL, just after the premiere opening of “People” Magazine event. I was working for the BSA in Miami, and my fiancee and I had been invited up to the event, by one of the staff photographers I knew. We were walking out of The Tropical Acres Restaurant - a legendary prime rib palace - after dinner, and it happened in the parking lot.

After getting out the hospital on a overnight ‘observation’ stay, I bought a 6” Colt Trooper MK III .357 Magnum, and carried it for years. It’s still in my gunsafe. I now carry a 5” Kimber .45cal ACP w/ 2 extra mags.

Victim was Jewish, driving a $70k Range Rover that was recovered in Newark. Race had nothing to do with this, just a PIGMENT of our imaginations.

New Jersey - at a very upscale mall, very, it’s probably the fanciest mall in NJ.

The Short Hills Mall in Jersey... I have been there exactly once... $70,000 Range Rovers aplenty there... lots of rich Jews and snooty trust fund brats in black tights and riding boots (2 years ago it was Ugg boots) shop there.

The longer this goes on without an arrest, the more I suspect this wasn't just a run-of-the-mill carjacking.

1. That mall has had more problems with crime than you'll ever read in the news (they bury it very well), and has security cameras all over the place (especially in the parking areas).

2. From everything I've read, this shooting took place just a few feet away from the victim's wife.

3. And yet the description of the suspect(s) has been very limited and the police are asking the public to come forward with any information they might have?

4. If you can find an online news story from the day after the shooting when the police found the abandoned Range Rover in a garage in Newark, check out the photos of the vehicle as it is being towed away. It looks like the rear window was shot out.

Something about this just doesn't add up.

Why is it so dam impossible to find high cap mags for 45s? I can buy 30 rd mags for my 92FS, but so limited from my 45.

2 points.

1st, they are difficult to find because of the copious stories such as this , along with the fear of more stringent gun laws.

Secondly, do not use THEIR terminology. These are standard capacity mags. Liberals labeled them as high capacity; they are not.

Thanks, but I am not a novice. As in my post, it should be easily understood that I am speaking of mags with far more than 10 or so rounds, the typical limitations for a 45 handgun. Since 9mm hi cap mags are plentiful, why are 45s not? It must be a mechanical feed barrier.
