You really have to read the labeling. I purchased a can of crab meat and to my surprise it was packaged in Indonesia. Returned it for a refund.

Almost all crabmeat comes from Indonesia. Even Phillips.

We have pretty much destroyed the crab population in the Chesapeake Bay. Last year was the worst crabbing season in my memory. Crabs were selling for $150 to $200 dollars a bushel.

Trot lines were useless and even the pots weren’t doing anything.

All canned tuna comes from outside the united States.

We can be thankful (?) that our sardines come from Canada along with our cod sold out of our grocer’s case. To think that we can’t even can our own sardines is sickening.

Cannery Row along the California coast has been morphed into rows of chic shops. No more fishing in that area. The central socialist government has worked overtime to destroy the U. S. fishing industry.

A huge amount of Hershey products (& other candy companies) have sent their manufacturers to Mexico...*at Halloween, bag after bag after bag* .....Mexico

..also Nabisco....pick up any package of Fig Newtons....Mexico......also your cereals

Much of your Green Giant and Bird's Eye frozen veggies....Mexico.

Talapia from China....

It takes a discriminating shopper with time on his/her hands to find decent food that's USA manufactured.....The fresh locally grown produce is out there, but the stores display it like a needle in a haystack sometimes.----I don't even hesitate anymore to ask the produce manager where the USA grown products are.

another example.....pick up two packages of the same greens ie, spinach, arugula, etc.....from the same company, same brand, same packaging, same everything and one package will say USA...and the other Mexico.

And we know the standards in Mexico are just as high as ours...:^

Obama is ramping up what George W started....sending ALL the jobs Americans want to do or have been doing for years to other comtries.

Did you read the article? They aren’t going to label it.

Read the article. They WON’T be required to state country where it was processed. You won’t know.

From article: What makes all of this even more disturbing is that a country-of-origin label will not be required on any of the chicken that is processed in China. So in the years ahead you could be eating chicken processed in China and not even know it.
