From a distance of three and a half years, the events of March 23, 2010, the day President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, seem like something from another world.
On that day, the Democrats who gathered in the East Room of the White House for the signing ceremony could barely contain their joy. They cheered, they laughed, they shouted, they pumped their fists, they wouldn't sit down. They chanted "Fired up -- ready to go!" as they had at Obama campaign rallies. When the president recognized Nancy Pelosi, the chant turned to "Nancy! Nancy! Nancy!"
**snip**
After an effusive introduction from Vice President Biden, Obama turned almost immediately to the task ahead. "It will take four years to implement fully many of these reforms," he said, "because we need to implement them responsibly. We need to get this right."
At the time, no one had any idea just how ill-prepared Obama and his administration were to actually do the job they set for themselves. Three years later, approaching an Oct. 1, 2013, deadline for the establishment of the Obamacare exchanges, the administration was still scrambling to finish even the most basic tasks. What followed was disaster.

because of Obamacare, millions of Americans in the individual market, most of whom have not had a major health crisis, are facing abrupt increases of more than 40 percent in their health insurance premiums. On top of that, they are finding deductibles rising far beyond those that troubled Canfield.
**snip**
If anybody had any doubts, Obama pledged, the future would prove his words to be true. "Now that this legislation is passed, you don't have to take my word for it," he told the crowd. "You'll be able to see it in your own lives."

A mix of lies and incompetence, the totalitatrian left rides again, and so predictable.
The exultation and hubris of these people needs to be drowned in 2014.
The DemocRATS are still saying that someday higher premiums and deductibles are going to be “very popular.”
Democrats are ignorant liars
Not just higher costs how about no meds, no doctors, no hospitals but LOTS of death panels
“This is a big f*cking deal”
When I file my taxes next year, I think I’ll put in a $2,500 deduction for 0bama’s ACA, and see how that goes.
Ezekiel Emanuel’s “Complete Lives System”
they still do, that is what they think “single payer” means
For once, Joe got it right ..... especially the ‘f*’ part.
- All this for a damn fag?
death panel any way one spells it ;)

“Liberal Newspeak is the chirpy announcer in a drug commercial soothingly telling you about all the fatal side effects while on screen couples have romantic picnics and go whitewater rafting. That is the job of most of the news media. Forget outliers like MSNBC which caters to a self-consciously prog crowd. The media’s real job is to be that announcer telling you that if you vote liberal, your taxes will go up, your job will go to China and you will die, without getting you upset about the terrible news. “

commun-ism
Interesting... you might be on to something there with how liberals think...
Same pattern as with crack cocaine.
Isn’t the author of this article, Byron York, a Liberal?
As we both know, “single payer” means that every health care penny passes through the sticky fingers of the US feral government.
