Just over two weeks ago, MSNBC host Martin Bashir delivered a harsh piece of commentary that culminated in the suggestion that someone should “s-h-i-t” in former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin‘s (R-AK) mouth. Bashir offered an abject apology on his next broadcast, but a chorus of critics continued to demand action against the host. After a reported “vacation” for the host earlier this week, Bashir announced, Wednesday afternoon, that MSNBC and Martin Bashir are parting ways.

When you think about it, we have Alec Baldwin to thank for this. He exposed the hypocracy.

Pretty surprised, here, after the heavy and obvious silence surrounding Martin Basher, by msnbc. Not a sound uttered by Zuckerland that they have any standards at all, but to endorse the scurrilous 24/7 and never look back.
Basher is oddly gone but leaves exchanging kisses with Zucker and cohorts for all the heaping abuse they deliver. It’s their job.
No real regrets offered between either party for
skewering Sarah, regarding the departure.

I don’t watch Fox enough to know whether she’s on or not. I think she shows up every now and then.
I’m about to build my own HD antennae for a few bucks and hook my flat screen up just for the reason you listed. Lots of great games on network TV this weekend. I don’t get espn and didn’t really miss it all that much this season.
I’ve tried several antennas for digital TV and have received the best signals using an inside flat WHITE antenna in an upper pane of a window facing the most transmitters. White, because the RCA black flat passive digital antenna I tried got very hot when the sun shone on it all afternoon. Feed your existing line amplifier and the whole house gets the same signal strength.
Most of the flat passive antennas I’ve tried get about the same reception as the amplified ones and the cheap ones work about as well as the more expensive ones. The secret is putting (tape or velcro tab) the WHITE antenna high in a window. I was amazed.

I'm not complaining, but he's used my tagline a couple of times that I know of.

It wasn’t until Alec came out and said, “look at what Bashir said, I didn’t say anything remotely that bad”. Then came the heat on Bashir. Alec Baldwin speaks, and liberals listen I guess. So I guess in a way, we do have Alec to thank for this one. *shudder*.
