The House Judiciary Committee is about to discuss what it calls “The President’s Constitutional Duty to Faithfully Execute the Laws,” focusing on the Obamacare delays, enforcement of immigration laws, and more. As Mediaite notes, the question of whether the president can take unilateral action to cease enforcing laws stretches back at least to last summer, when President Barack Obama said he would stop deporting young undocumented immigrants, an end-run around congressional refusal to pass the DREAM Act.

House Judiciary Committee laying groundwork for Articles of Impeachment. It’s just more frivolous kabuki, but kind of fun. The power of impeachment is reserved to the Senate...like that’s ever going to happen.

Any response by the panel to that impeachment question?

I believe DOMA was the first law he and Holder refused to enforce.

The first illegal act was denying secured bondholder their legal rights when Obama gave the unions control of GM...

The answer was wishy-washy if best, but it was NOT ‘no’.

Wonder if there’s a case for quo warranto here? Anyone explored that yet?

For those who are unfamiliar with it:

Quo warranto (Medieval Latin for “by what warrant?”) is a prerogative writ requiring the person to whom it is directed to show what authority they have for exercising some right or power (or “franchise”) they claim to hold.

Why do you believe Obama wants to stack the D.C courts with this Senate maneuver Harry Reid did with the nuclear option? Because that’s where a quo warranto would be heard.

Bring back reading and civics tests to be allowed to vote.
Make a law that accepting any entitlement benefits is cause for giving up your right to vote for ten years.

Problem solved.

The GOPe doesn’t seem to mind the lack of border/immigration law enforcement

Actually, it's the big, corporate, campaign donors that want an open border and Amnesty to keep their bottom lines under control on the back of the taxpayers.

Being the lazy, feckless, unprincipled lot that they are, the GOP-E simply falls in line because to do otherwise means they have to get dirty and fight for principles, something that they don't have.

The end result?

The GOP becomes the party of Big Business, rather than the party of the citizens of the USA.

LOL! The House judiciary committee is the roach motel for owebama scandals. Scandals go in, but they never come out. They should rename themselves the house posturing committee.

You say “do nothing” like it’s a bad thing. Most of the problems we have can be traced directly back to “having to do something”.

What’s really tragic is that if Roe vs. Wade had not been passed, illegal aliens would not be needed by **anyone** because we would have almost 57 million legal citizens that we don’t have now. Illegal immigration has always been about filling up the void that was caused by abortion. Killing off citizens and replacing them with illegals reduces the US down to the level of all the other Third World garbage dumps, which is what the Marxists want. They always believe the solution is to drag everyone else down to their level, instead of allowing us to lift ourselves up to whatever level we can achieve.
