Speaking to reporters Monday at the White House, Press Secretary Jay Carney couldn't directly say whether people who have "signed up" for Obamacare will actually have health insurance starting on January 1.
"We're telling consumers if they're not sure if they're enrolled they should call the insurer directly," Carney said.
Millions of Americans have lost their health insurance thanks to Obamacare and have been unable to successfully sign up for another plan. Five-million Americans have lost their health insurance plans while only 100,000 people have either signed up for Obamacare or have put a plan in their shopping cart on Healthcare.gov or through state-based exchanges.
The White House is touting an improved website, but insurers are reporting that data and personal information from Obamacare enrollees is being jumbled before it gets to them and therefore, people who have signed up, don't necessarily have health insurance coverage.
When pressed on the White House not meeting the November 30 deadline for the website to be completely fixed, Carney referred to the deadline as a simple stepping stone for the overall Obamacare rollout process.
"This was a marker along the road about the progress we needed to make," Carney said. "We said it wouldn't happen all at once...We're not done with the work that needs to be done on that website but I think we've passed an important milestone in getting in to work for the vast majority of users."
As of today, Healthcare.gov can handle 50,000 users at a time on the site. In the age of Amazon and Facebook, that's hardly a success. Today is Cyber Monday, which means Amazon will process orders for more than 13 million items.
"The end game is not the most effective website we can build," Carney said. "We are confident that we've achieved significant improvement and functionality in the website...We never said there wouldn't be any problems moving forward or an error website."
Carney also blamed Republicans for Obamacare delays.
What could possibly go wrong ? /s
The disastrous debacle continues.
But I repeat myself.
Ain’t worried about it, Li’l Jayjay.
What difference, at this point, does it make?
You won't be able to get in to see a doctor anyway!
Here is what Obama promised on Nov 6, 2013:
“We are working overtime to get this fixed, and the website is already better than it was at the beginning of October,” Obama said in Dallas. “By the end of this month, we anticipate that it is going to be working the way it is supposed to.”
And Zients also made promises:

“By the end of November, the vast majority of consumers will be able to successfully and smoothly enroll through Healthcare.gov,” Zients said.
So even those who have signed up do not know if they are insured. They don’t have payment schedules either, and you can bet you bloomers that if they haven’t made a payment-—THEY AINT INSURED.
This mess is beyond Clusterphuck stage.
“I don’t know if people will have insurance on Jan 1 but I DO know it’s the Republican’s fault”.
Let me guess - the biggest controversy of his administration, a complete debacle on release, a tight and explicit two-month deadline, and 0bama’s people forgot to collect any metrics. Hey, could happen to anyone.
Calling should be routine. I agree if a consumer has not made payments they cannot expect to show up at a medical facility and expect to be covered.
Just because they signed up doesn’t mean they will have insurance. First after selecting a plan they have to make arrangement to pay for it on a monthly basis. Or they might just settle for Medicaid or Medicare. And for some the 1200 a month might seem steep but when they find out that most of their visits to a doctor will result in paying with cash up to the average 3000 deductible. Then the realization that the 1200 doesn’t mean jack shi! when they have to pay anyway unless catastrophic problem and then the first 3000 comes out up front.
Say what? You're who? We have no record of your application.
As nervous and scatterbrained as the DemoSocialists seem now, it’s only a preview of what their state of mind is going to be a few months from now.
Millions across the country are being directly impacted by this historic boondoggle, and they’re going to be demanding heads as they and their families begin to suffer real harm from the law.
Dems are already doing the Obamacare moonwalk by retreating while they appear to be supporting the law. Within a few months, many (if not most) of them will turn tail and run away as fast as they can. This thing is that bad. It has the potential to destroy the Democrat party for decades to come, and to thoroughly strip the quasi-religion of liberalism of ALL remaining credibility.
Could you imagine Amazon, Google or any of the other biggies telling their customers that they were not sure their orders were processed so call, email or mail to verify your order has been processed.
I order from Amazon, the product arrives in 2 days.
