How are you getting nailed at 61%? The highest tax rate is 39.6% (still a disgusting rate).

A constructive suggestion followed is worth many privations, by the way. Have them pass out gospel pamphlets with the food, if nothing more.
Sometimes we can be so disgusted with what is done wrong that we fail to even see what is done right, or what seemingly minor changes can be made to turn what is done wrong to what is done right.
As long as there is at least a small source of income (living off savings, investments, pension), your time is your own (at least at the moment).

There is a fix. We have been shown what that fix is, and every thinking patriot knows what it is. The problem is that the people who would have to apply this "fix" don't have the stomach for it...yet.

During the time of the founding fathers, only property owners could vote. It was changed later. So they were right. We screwed ourselves by not listening to them.

I was just thinking that there seems to be too little awareness of the fact that many—probably millions—of people who are not working would very much like to be working.
It is no longer true that there are jobs for everyone.
Jeez!..that's a hell of alot easier then figuring out the right father for each of them!.....But.....between the EBT card, the housing voucher card and God knows how many other government cards we give them...That's a daunting task!
The fix you’re speaking of leaves everyone virtually bankrupt. It may set things “straight” the way we would want... but it will destroy the economy of our country.

People who should never be in charge of *anything* are in charge of practically everything.
Fix that and you have fixed the system.
