Commentary: Elton blames Southern and religious bigotry for the continuing plague of HIV-AIDS in the U.S. and around the world. John ignores the role of personal behavior, instead he blames others: "Make no mistake: Discrimination and intolerance fuel this disease."
John links to a Kaiser Family Foundation study to assert that seven of the ten states with the highest diagnoses of HIV are Southern. However, the study shows only five Southern states in the top ten with the liberal mecca the District of Columbia having an astonishing 177.9 infection rate per 100,000--five to six times the average for states.
The Kaiser study is worth taking the time to examine. It's too bad Elton is caught in his own bigotry. His article was meant to inform about the great strides that have been made treating HIV-AIDS, instead he had a tantrum.

Such opinion is insane.
Worse, though, is why major publications would publish such nonsense.
They would not publish a madman blaming a disease of space aliens or the like.

The spread of AIDS is due to two things:
1) Unprotected homo sex.
2) Crazy government regulations that make it impossible for doctors to even attempt to control the spread.
It’s as if the government said “Typhoid Mary is a politically correct, protected person, so you mustn’t touch her or forbid her from touching anyone else.”
Then they blame the typhoid epidemic on the onlookers.
That’s really funny because I thought that indiscriminate unprotected sex was the cause of spreading the disease. I guess science and fact are wrong again. Personally I don’t have a problem with the so called “best and brightest” among us eliminating themselves if they can’t control their sexual urges.

In a sane world, the title would be "Homosexual men seek to stem the rising tide of syphilis in their community starting with themselves."This one title of a news article is a fascinating window into the mindset of liberals and homosexuals.
It is not the men themselves who can affect the outcome of their own situation. They are slaves to their passions and emotions. They are who they say they were born to be. They have no choice, no recourse, no escape.
