JERUSALEM Just after the signing ceremony in Geneva on Sunday, President Hassan Rouhani of Iran declared that the world had recognized his countrys nuclear rights. He was right.
The agreement Iran reached with the so-called P5+1 the United States, Britain, China, France and Russia, plus Germany does not significantly roll back Irans nuclear capabilities. Iran made only cosmetic concessions to preserve its primary goal, which is to continue enriching uranium. The agreement represents a failure, not a triumph, of diplomacy. With North Korea, too, there were talks and ceremonies and agreements but then there was the bomb. This is not an outcome Israel could accept with Iran.
Harsh sanctions led Iran to the negotiating table. The easing of those sanctions will now send companies from around the world racing into Iran to do business, which will lead to the eventual collapse of the sanctions that supposedly remain.
Might economic relief, reduced isolation and new goodwill lead to greater pressure on the Iranian regime to reach a fuller agreement later? I doubt it: As recently as last week, Irans supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, denounced Israel as a rabid dog, a jab that Western leaders failed to condemn.
The deal will only lead Iran to be more stubborn. Anyone who has conducted business or diplomatic negotiations knows that you dont reduce the pressure on your opponent on the eve of negotiations. Yet that is essentially what happened in Geneva.
Iran will not only get to keep its existing 18,000 centrifuges; it will also be allowed to continue developing the next generation of centrifuges, provided it does not install them in uranium-enrichment facilities. Which is to say: Its uranium-enrichment capability is no weaker.

Led by John “Fool on a fool’s errand” Kerry.
But what the heck, it gave Obama the opportunity to grovel before another Moslem and kiss his *ss.
In the interest of full disclosure, the gentleman who wrote this op/ed piece in the NYTimes calling the negotiations with Iran a “failure” is an IDF general and the former head of the Isreali National Security Council.
Over 18,000 operating centrifuges enriching uranium...
...and Iran proudly announced this to the world on Tuesday of this week...

...and Obama is falling all over himself to release billions of dollars to Iran, while agreeing not to use force against Iran.
What possibly could go wrong?
When we all get tired of the Israeli propaganda machine braying like a pack of mules and calling the agreement “cosmetic concessions”, take a look at the truth:

Some of the “cosmetics”:
· Dilute below 5% or convert to a form not suitable for further enrichment its entire stockpile of near-20% enriched uranium.
· Not increase its stockpile of 3.5% low enriched uranium
· Not install additional centrifuges of any type.
· Not install or use any next-generation centrifuges.
· Leave inoperable roughly half of installed centrifuges at Natanz and three-quarters of installed centrifuges at Fordow.
· Not commission or fuel the Arak reactor.
· Provide daily access by IAEA inspectors at Natanz and Fordow.
Israel is becoming irrelevant by continuing to dictate and not negotiate.
Yes the Iranians can lie and cheat and obfuscate. But with this level of inspection and surveillance, we will know what they are up to, real time.
For now, this is an amazing turn around. Yes, the Iranians had to be dragged, kicking and screaming to this point because we are interdicting about 28% of their economy.
The next sanctions will be a shutdown of all electronic transactions such as ATM’s and debit/credit cards, if they don’t behave.
Yes, it seems once in a blue moon the NY Times is capable of publishing an opposing viewpoint to the far left. Who knew?
Get lost troll!
If you’re already sick of Israeli “propaganda”, you’ll be really sick once Israel’s words turn into actions.
And mark my words - it won’t be long before that happens!!!

Dave,
It’s going to take a lot more than Israeli huffing and puffing to “turn into actions”.
I’m not going to “mark your words”, not even the name calling. Educate yourself on the subject:
