That’s an awfully specific “estimate”... which makes me skeptical of it automatically.

The operating word is “could”, not “is going to”. It’s a comment on Iran’s capability.
It makes perfect sense. They had to be within the six month period just extended to them, compliments of Iranian born Valerie Jarrett. That’s what the deal was about - giving them some unfettered extra time.

I hope you are wrong. But I believe, like you, that the Persians will make multiple attacks at once. The Iranians want more than one bomb where they will attack and then threaten attack with their other nukes.

The truth is that Iran has 200 kilos of 20% and could enrich to 90% in a month, at least enough for two bombs.
The rest of the truth, that this article ignores, is that you have to make it portable and you have to know how to detonate it. You also have to shape the fuel into spherical segments that can implode.
The Iranians are years away, if ever, from doing this. So there is no point stirring up America with incomplete facts that only reveal Israel’s desperation to hold the world’s ear by constantly crying wolf.

I don't think fission bombs "implode". You just have to slam two sub-critical masses together hard enough to create one critical mass.
