Shallow Democracy...In US and Canada.

Midway through the 2008 presidential campaign, Obama was making references to lights shining down upon voters. He told them they would have an epiphany and that they would be told to vote for Barack Obama. His campaign rallies gained positive media coverage at a rate nearly three times higher than that of Republican candidate, John McCain. People even cried and fainted during his speeches.

Americans believed that their savior had come. Obama wasn't just giving political speeches, he was giving spiritual sermons. Every word that came out of his mouth was deliberate, scripted, and vague. Obama's words were designed to invoke a spiritual response from Americans. He wasn't just speaking to them, he was reaching out and healing their souls.

Five years later, we have to look at Obama's real accomplishments...

According to the left, Obama’s failures are NOT his fault.

Society has not been conditioned (brainwashed) enough to accept the the grandiose possibilities of the state(collectivism) along with brilliance of Obama.

The article actually steers into what I've personally been seeing.

Back in 2008, you couldn't find anyone who wasn't voting for the boy king. No one ever could say why. They projected what they were for onto him.

Today, those same people are miserable, near hopeless, and I can't seem to find anyone, at least very few, who want to admit voting for him

who CARES??

By 20012 we sure as heck KNEW what he was all about; and we STILL re-elected him!

(Thanks in no small part by the IDIOTS running the GOP who gave us yet ANOTHER un-electable man to 'vote' for!)

I'll help your 'hunt'.

Go to any big city.

When you see a car with a positive 2012 OBAMA bumper sticker; interview them...

Thanks for the post but I cannot see the younger Trudeau being elected.

There is too much video of him looking and acting like the foolish, shallow young boy that he is.

The conservatives absolutely destroyed the previous liberal leader by using his own videos against him. One was a commercial that he made for some liberal cause that referred to himself as "a fellow American". Another showed him blowing kisses to the crowd as he disembarked from an airplane upon his arrival in Canada.

The marijuana issue is virtually a non-starter here. The laws have been tightened but the government and the police seem totally disinterested in actually enforcing them.

Living in Calgary, I directly suffer two of the three jokers listed in this article. Of course, as far as the third (turd?) one, the WORLD must suffer him for another three years! As so many can and will express their disdain and distrust of that one, I’ll focus my comments on the other two.

Baby Turd-owe has many of the faults of his daddy, Pierre Elliot Trudeau, but few of the assets. He has the Turd-owe arrogance while unfortunately, lacking the intelligence of his daddy, ‘Rocky Waterhole’. While many were PET’s faults, few would argue against his intelligence, unlike his son. When ‘Rocky’ was elected, the press orgasmically waited on every word, much like the US press did with 0.00 (particularly Qwitthy Matthews). Some in the Canadian news business, still swoon at baby Turd-owe, but nothing like the era of ‘Trudeaumania’! Unfortunately, ‘junior’ may be our next Prime Minister; Heaven help us!

Nenshi is a muhamedan, most likely apostate, and a former instructor at Mount Royal University in Calgary. Unfortunately, he swept to power on a very media-savy campaign in 2010. In his defence, he was able to draw out a huge number of young people to vote in a civic election; something that is rare! Unfortunately, they mostly voted for him. Lots of promises during his campaign, but little substance. Though he didn’t accomplish much during this past year’s record flood, he was up 72 hours straight, talking to the media during the worst of the flooding.

Sounds like the American people are too dumb to govern themselves, and they need a dictator.

Just because an obamaite won’t openly say he is one doesn’t mean he isn’t a “proud” obamaite.
