Actually the 150-year-old oak tree was allowing it’s family arranged fiance, a 350-year-old oak tree’s pollen to fertilize it’s acorns while talking on a cell phone. This was an honor killing.

Islam is one of the more violently nutty spiritualities in the world. Even Satanists are usually more peaceful. They took a mischmosch of Judaism and Christianity, mucked the details around, and pumped it full of hate and cowardice. Sometimes it has stayed docile, but sometimes it has gone wilder than a pitbull with rabies.

Makes a lot more sense to worship a tree than to worship what these animals consider a god.

The 150 year old oak was not wearing a burka and was not escorted by male family members either. I think the 150 oak was even driving a car. I believe the tree had a facebook account.
The Puritans banned the celebration of Christmas in colonial America for pretty much the same reasons.

Not to say there weren’t grim exceptions. Our dear Puritans were among them.
IMHO, Catholics were sometimes sloppy in the opposite direction. They embraced stuff into a Christian world view and then sometimes seemed to just wink as pagan connotations arose again. Hence overreactions such as the Puritans’. Stilted theologies such as Calvinism were part of the problem. In order to increase their “luck,” Puritans did not go into territory where serious claims and counterclaims between God and the devil existed. They played it spiritually safe.
Anyhow I’d sure be a lousy Puritan because I am not shy to fight stuff away from Satan any more. Now, I do wait for the power from the Holy Spirit. Sometimes God says hold back and I hold back. But then sometimes God says fight and I fight.

The origination of what you call islam as a mishmosh of Chrisitianity and Judaism is facile and an unacceptable equivocation as those people have no interest in GOD and any illusion or allusion that they are redeemable by acknowledging ALLAH as anything other than PAGAN is STUPID, but that is only my opinion.

I know why the jihadists cut down the tree. They heard someone yell “Tea party time” and they thought they said “Tree party time”.
Tree cutting, done by FOM and FOO (Friends of McCain) and (Friends of Obama). They also specialize in home demolition; population reduction; civilization destruction; and hummus preparation.
People assume that the Druids long since died out, but you can’t be too careful. Cut the tree down in case there are some secret Druids in the vicinity.
