An illegal alien who sneaked across the porous U.S./Mexico border from El Salvador to go on an MS-13 gang crime spree and murder rampage has been sentenced to life in a U.S. prison.
Carlos Ortega (aka Silencio), a former MS-13 leader (Sitios Locos Salvatruchas clique of La Mara Salvatrucha), was sentence to life in prison after his March 21, 2013 convictions for racketeering, racketeering conspiracy, murder, assault with dangerous weapons, and related firearms and conspiracy offenses, according to the U.S. Attorneys Office.
Ortega was a member of MS-13 in El Salvador. He illegally entered the U.S. and embarked on what authorities are calling a "swath of murder" by using guns, knives, clubs, and even machetes to kill his victims.
The Eastern District of New Yorks U.S. Attorney Lorretta Lynch described Ortegas crimes and stated: Ortega committed heinous acts of violence in the name of MS-13, cutting a swath of murder from Brentwood to Far Rockaway, all within the span of a few weeks. She added: Todays life sentence is a fitting end to Ortegas reign of terror. He will now have the rest of his life to contemplate the just results of his allegiance to the killing machine known as MS-13.

Fervently hope some of the other inmates who do not like illegals think he is pretty.
Todays life sentence is a fitting end to Ortegas reign of terror.”......
I disagree! The perp will now be pampered, fed and housed for the rest of his miserable life at OUR expense or, be released within a few years. He WILL NEVER pay his dues for what he has done. I would gladly be the one to drop the hammer on him to end his existance.
It's the whole concept of support group
Hi ... my name is Dave and I'm a blood thirsty, crazed, murdering lunatic
Hi, Dave ...
I think a fitting end would be if he were used as a live organ donor.
We no longer have the moral clarity to put these killers to death. Since we’ve blended right with wrong, we’re no longer able to determine which is which.
Todays life sentence is a fitting end to Ortegas reign of terror.”
Bullcrap. A bullet in the head, a public hanging, or a session on Ol’ Sparky would be fitting.
what’s he doing here to begin with?
No it's not a fitting end! A fitting end would be for this monster to have his head publicly chopped off with an axe. Now he'll be housed fed and taken care by the American people at cost of millions of dollars.
Now he will go to prison and teach others to do as he did.
He will lead riots and intimidate other prisoners, and perhaps get to kill a guard or two. Some time while there he will find a young boy who is in for some slight crime and get himself a prison “bride”. Three hots and a cot and lifetime Health Care.
Life is good.
Just a dreamer.
This guy is not just “illegal trash”. He is a deadly psycho-killer. There is absolutely no reason for him to be put in prison, he needs to be put down *by the police* like the rabid dog he is.
Seriously, nobody complains when a cop shoots a rabid dog. There is no suggestion of “police brutality” or “exceeding his authority”, “cruel and unusual punishment”, or any other such nonsense.
Across the US, police departments now have unwritten policies that if they are approached by a dog they consider just “menacing”, they are to shoot it. While this is a deeply flawed policy, considering how many non-menacing dogs are shot, there is no way that police departments are going to discontinue this practice.
So if police *know* they are pursuing hardened organized crime gang killers, or even have one in custody, *why not* have a policy of putting them down?
It does not have the flaw that they don’t know if “the dog” is “menacing” or not, they *know* that it is rabid, not just menacing.
They *know* that these scum are hardcore, murderous fiends.
There is *no* possibility of redemption on Earth, there. No possibility of rehabilitation. Nothing.
And there is *no* reason to waste millions of taxpayer dollars to try and maximum security incarcerate such monsters. Nobody will shed a tear if they get a bullet in them in discreet circumstances, where there is no surviving witness other than the officer.
Police departments just need three criteria to do this:
1) They must know who it is they are executing.
2) Beyond reasonable doubt they are heinous criminals.
3) Circumstances are such that it can be done discreetly.
I will add as an afterthought that the national police in Bangladesh faced ridiculous levels of violent crime until they instituted an unofficial “crossfire” policy, in which violent criminals “were caught in crossfire by the police”, which killed them. Hundreds of vicious, violent criminals have been dispatched this way.
Anyone with an MS-13 gang tattoo should be considered GUILTY of crimes and shot on the spot.
Just how many people is he alleged to have killed?
Putting this POS in jail is a waste of space, he should have been turned into ash. (In his case while he was still alive.)
I sure don’t trust the police to do that.
Well, you could say that you don’t trust the police *today* to do this. In truth, going way back, there was a red line for police, a solid, thick red line that worked in two ways.
The first part was that when a criminal crossed that line, the *emphasis* changed from capture to kill. But it was never set in concrete. If they caught somebody they would otherwise kill, who surrendered without resistance, that could very well save their life.
Otherwise, they were treated like John Dillinger or Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, and now great and risky effort was made to capture them alive.
The other part, equally important, was in the law. This was the rule that anyone who killed a police officer faced a swift and sure death penalty execution.
The criminals, knowing this, also knew that one way or another, if they attacked a cop and killed him, they were dead men. It didn’t matter if it was on the street or in the electric chair. Arrest and trial were a formality.
Importantly, in one form or another, this red line still exists today. However, if it is invoked, it is done discreetly. The emphasis today is on “over-arrresting”, intentionally sweeping up individuals with no real evidence other than association with criminals, and railroading them into prison for very long terms.
Instead of killing them outright, they arrest family members, take away minor children, etc.
However, they are always just a hair’s breadth away from killing violent criminals, if the opportunity presents itself.
So, in the final analysis, what I am suggesting is not that radical, that the police administer some lethal street justice just to the worst of the worst, and save everybody sorrow and expense in the process.
Todays life sentence is a fitting end to Ortegas reign of terror. and thousands more out there stand ready to take over his position.
Anyone with an MS-13 gang tattoo should be considered GUILTY of crimes and shot on the spot.
I took some digging but I found his age: 24.
We’ll be paying for his room/board/care for the next 50 years.
