With the loss of Gambia, Taiwan is now recognized by 22 countries, mostly small and impoverished nations in Latin America, the Caribbean and the south Pacific. Swaziland, Sao Tome and Principe and Burkina Faso are its only remaining diplomatic allies in Africa.

The liberal leadership of the USA has so much to answer for. Looks like the Power on high wants to deal with them personally.

Taiwan is, in fact, an independent sovereign nation. Where do we get off telling them that they have no right to live free of China?

Red China’s all over Africa because of its natural resources. The Congo is a de-facto colony of Red China, and the Red Chinese treat the natives as slaves.

Red China has had long-standing alliances with their fellow communists in Zimbabwe (Mugabe obviously) and in South Africa (the ANC). Gambia is just one more domino piece to fall.

The European Union is Red China’s chief competitor in Africa. The USA isn’t even a player in this game.
