True dat.

I fear this will be a first step to eventual outlawing (or just taxing into oblivion!) all fats.

Lard based donuts were the best! I still remember Krispy Kreme donuts from the 1970’s. They don’t even taste the same now.

Hormel puts out a lard product, I think. I’ve never used it preferring my transy Crisco.

Lard is unhealthy, but it still makes the best baked goods.

A local Italian bakery used lard in its bread for years. The loaves were huge, light and airy. Today the bakery uses some kind of healthy fat. Now the loaves are smaller, denser and just don’t taste right.

Leave it to government to ruin a good thing.
