A North Carolina school refused to hang posters depicting an American Flag and the national motto “In God We Trust” because their legal counsel feared the signs would be seen as promoting religion.
The American Legion offered the free posters to the Watauga County School District, but found the 130 framed images unwanted.
As reported by Fox News:
“We got an email from the school saying thank you but on advice of their legal counsel they could not accept the posters because of separation of church and state,” American Legion member Rick Cornejo told me in a telephone interview.I suspect the school board is wary of militant anti-Christian bigots and their army of legal minions – poised to attack God-fearing Americans with lawsuits.
Cornejo, who is also a local Baptist preacher, said the decision to ban the posters has resulted in a lot of hurt feelings.
“It’s disappointing, it really is,” he said. “Educators are asking us for those posters so they can put them in their classrooms but right now they can’t do it – because the school board won’t let them.”
The 16x20 inch framed posters include the words “In God We Trust,” with an American flag in the background.
It reads: “The national motto of the United States, adopted by Congress, July 30, 1956.”
A spokesman for the school district told the Watauga Democrat newspaper that “In God We Trust” was banned on the advice of their legal counsel. They feared someone could see the poster and construe the district was promoting religion.
A 2012 Gallup poll found the majority of Americans still claim to be of a religion:
“In God We Trust” starting appearing on American currency in 1864. That is almost 150 years. Surely there have been millions of non-religious Americans in that time span. So why the power shift now? Why does only 23 percent of the population have authority over the other 77 percent? This instance is merely a continuation in the rise of the minority rule. Apparently, not even a school district snuggled in the Bible Belt is safe from the growing threat.
How about a poster-sized enlargement of US currency?
Screw the school board. Hand them anyway and dare them to discipline you.

Hm, Islam and Sharia law have no slogans or mottoes. Once we eliminate all references to non-Islam slogans or mottoes, what might possibly move in to take its place?
This allowing fascist unconstitutional laws to reign is the fault of the parents of these kids.
First of all, the public school system is unconstitutional and needs to be locally controlled with local curricula. Take back the schools. Fire all the superintendents and State administrators and get rid of the billion dollar DOE which eats up the taxpayers money. It is all antithetical to the Constitution and Null and Void.
The sick curricula is godless— Billy Ayers version of US history which removes Logic and Reason and promotes Paganism/Atheist religions.
This marginalizes God-—conditions children into thinking the concept of God is evil—or at best for misfits. There is no separation of God and State in the Constitution-—it was in Stalin’s. Talking about God and Jesus Christ is American History and NEVER establishes any “Church”-—and children need to understand the Past and thinking of the people who established this government and they ALL BELIEVED IN GOD.
In fact-—our fundamental Natural Rights come from GOD only.....never the State. THat is why they are removing the concept of the Judeo-Christian God from the minds of US children——for the NWO and collective-—to erase individualism, a Christian concept-—as is Rights from God.
I went to college in that county and knew lots of kids in that HS. They sent players to the NFL. Very religious. It will be a brawl.

Send them your School tax in cash and see if they accept it, and if they do, tell them if it isn’t offensive enough to accept then it shouldn’t be to display.. :)

The American Legion members should not only hand out these posters, but they should “post” their members inside the schools to protect them from the idiots who run (or is it “ruin”) them.
There are a lot of chickenshit and leftist pockets of PCis and anti-Americanism stupidity left in No. Carolina. Time to thin the herd and start kicking them out of public offices/service.
The school boards, principles and their legal advisors are a good place to start.
