Better to treat Blackasstone as most of Dallas does- ignore the thick clod. He spews these things to garner attention and he certainly doesn’t care if much of the feedback is negative; he and his employer still trade on it with higher numbers. Shun him.

GOD BLESS AND PROTECT OUR TROOPS AND OUR BELOVED NATION!
The Star Spangled Banner Verse Four (Click)
Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand Between their loved home and the war's desolation! Blest with victory and peace, may the heav'n rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: "In God is our trust." And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
It is the Soldier, not the minister Who has given us freedom of religion.
It is the Soldier, not the reporter Who has given us freedom of the press.
It is the Soldier, not the poet Who has given us freedom of speech.
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer Who has given us freedom to protest.
It is the Soldier, not the lawyer Who has given us the right to a fair trial.
It is the Soldier, not the politician Who has given us the right to vote.
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag, Who serves beneath the flag, And whose coffin is draped by the flag, Who allows the protester to burn the flag.

Genuflectimus non ad principem sed ad Principem Pacis!
Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)

The Star Spangled Banner IS a war Anthem. Describing the the events of a battle for Fort McHenry in the War of 1812.
And what of it?
Is he mad that it doesn’t worship Obastard?

I agree. The best thing to do is ignore him. Letting ESPN know that you won’t be watching when he’s on won’t hurt either.

It was orginally a poem, not an anthem, written by my ancestor Francis Scott Key as he witnessed the the Battle of Fort McHenry in the War of 1812. Perhaps the prof would like it better if it was Tiptoe Through the Tulips.

He lives in Maryland, the MARXIST STATE after Gov. O’Malley got through with it.
Maybe Prof. Blackistone would prefer that the audience sing “The Internationale” or a medley of “The Songs of the Red Army”.
