Kathleen Sebelius announces new mental health parity requirements for health insurers
Washington Examiner ^ | 11-8-2013

Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on Friday said that new requirements imposed on insurance companies by Obamacare will require those companies to treat mental illness and addiction that same as physical illness, creating "the largest behavioral health expansion in a generation."

More seriously, you are looking at Christianity as though it were some other ism like conservatism.

It isn’t.

It’s the work of a living God and Creator who never gets tuckered out.

And those who are savvy, like the Lord has given to me, will see the operative pattern of God (as if it weren’t already obvious from the Old Testament). Let evil fail to the point that people have no doubt they need something more. Then provide divine salvational message. Result: revival. Now how long that lasts depends on the people involved. But there is no “ism” that can rise above the salvation of Christ. Only people’s own choice to stay with Satan. And we are not privy to the information required to prognosticate this like God has.

So your doctor asks how many guns you have at home. You say 5. He checks the guidelines put out by HHS and immediately commits you to a sanatorium. And the government doesn't even have to pay for the "treatment".

Umm, why is she speaking at a health symposium? Shouldn’t she be at work fixing the website?

“More seriously, you are looking at Christianity as though it were some other ism like conservatism.”

I see Christianity as the only solution to Islam. But with the powerful government essentially banning it in schools and public places that creates a headwind that’s impossible to go against when you add it to popular culture. The people who go to church are fewer every year. They are also having fewer children (two) while those on the government dole are having an average of five. Children will not find it on their own and they can’t take a course on it in school that might point them that way. (Any course would be hopelessly negative.)

It’s against the rules to even speak about it in the military and most companies I have worked at have banned it in the workplace. (Two companies had a policy of firing anybody who even discussed it. Seriously. And, I have to say that at one company that proselytizing it had become such a problem it was seriously impacting getting our work done. Not only that but the proselytizers were the least educated and capable people there. Hardly inspirational. )

Government is ramming diversity down our throats and diversity says everybody is equal. If you think about the first revenge movie Paul Kersey (Charles Bronson) is portrayed as a religious and pious man. He is allowed to take revenge because he has God and morality on his side. When they recently remade the movie they took God and moral superiority out of it and just have him killing everybody, good and bad. (I don’t recall the name, but it was essentially the same story only told with modern “morality” or lack thereof.) Essentially, Hollywood has downgraded Christianity and moral superiority. Due to diversity, nobody can be morally superior anymore.

After you pay $1500 a month premiums and $6,000 in deductibles, and a 40% co pay.

Whadda deal

I believe that mental health treatment should be free for the severely disabled mentally ill. Schizophrenics, psychotic bi-polars, end stage alcoholics and a few more diagnoses. There should also be free housing for these poor souls of the three hots and a cot variety in local state hospitals. There should be medications and the people to require them. The housing should be on farms so they will be able to work, for everyone needs to have something to get up for.

Unfortunately just like title 9 instead of expanding mental health services, parity will cause a cutback in physical health services. Watch cancer treatment get dumped.

Heh, but that’s only in 2 states. So it could make for a funny attack ad to say Obama is now mandating health plans cover psychotherapy to convert gays in over 47 states.

“The housing should be on farms so they will be able to work, for everyone needs to have something to get up for. “

An in-your-face liberal group runs housing and a soup kitchen two blocks from the state capital. It attracts lots of dangerous homeless people who have completely occupied and live in the huge down town library. It’s essentially useless to others and stinks of urine. This group has refused an excellent facility on the rural edge of the county because “We want to keep the homeless in-your-face until you solve the problem.” (Direct quote.) I saw a homeless man having a brutal fight with somebody who wasn’t there and he was energetically trying to kill this apparition. Yep, needs medication. But he’s on the street.

What will be free?

Are you white, conservative, christian, believe in the Constitution, or a gun owner?

Well then you are nuts.

So the feds are going to use your forced insurance so they can determine who's crazy. Forced meds and counseling for "crazies"?

Heal thyself !

If you suffer from goverment-ophobia perhaps you can have your voting rights removed. Anyone who doesn’t naturally put their full faith and trust in Dear Leader must not be right in the head.

The worst part about Obamacare, albeit a tough choice, seems to be how Congress totally ceded its authority to the executive branch to write any and all laws relating to “health care.”

We do need to do something about mental health in this country (look at all the people killed in mass shootings by the uninstitutionalized mentally ill in the last couple of years), but none of that involves the Federal Government.

their plan was to make the “special groups” like gays and blacks “special citizens”. Reparations and all that.

Sebelius spewing – everybody being covered in her speech! Did you see Megyn Kelly interview with guy with cancer last night?

He made the decision not to pay for the insurance (plans to pay fine) because it does NOT cover cancer medications or MRI. This is merely the beginning of those death panels!
