Sarah Palin knew a death panel when she saw one
Washington Times ^ | Charles Hurt

Mama Grizzly warned us this would happen. Under Obamacare, the sick and weak and old would stand before death panels of bureaucrats to be granted life or death. Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was laughed out of town for making four years ago what we now know is a prescient prediction. Perhaps she is one of the few who actually read the health care bill before it passed. “And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course,” she wrote on her Facebook page in 2009. “The America I know and

That woman is very brave..the left has been smearing her ever since she wrote that article talking about how her health care coverage was canceled..she is suffering from stage 4 gallbladder cancer and the left went right ahead and smeared her..just tells you everything you need to know about the left..they dont care about people, they never did..the only “Care” when they can gain politically on that person, but if they cant, they trash them and try to destroy them

Yeah, that poor woman! I knew that this was coming.

I really worry about my parents. They are both in their 70’s and fall into the “they aren’t contributing members of society anymore” category. They are older people and therefore no longer have any value according to Obama and his ilk!

The liberal mindset is very sick and very dark. There will be a lot of people dying because of Obamacare.

Most conservatives knew full well that Governor Palin was absolutely correct when she warned of 'death panels' under Obamacare. The leftmedia managed to hoot her down and lull the gullible population into believing that giving the government control over 316 million Americans health care (via insurance) would not affect them or their loved ones.

Well, now they know better. Of course Sarah Palin was right. Obamacare means inevitable rationing of medical services and the old and very sick will be the people that will be hurt the most. Tragically, many of them may well have believed Obamacare was going to make things better for them. Some may have even voted for Obama.

That is why as the harsh realities of Obamacare start becoming clear, the public backlash will be a tsunami that will set the Democrat party - and it's socialist agenda - back 20 years. The question is: what will the Republicans party do with this opportunity? With the current GOP 'establishment' in power, I'm not exactly optimistic.

That woman is very brave...

Those with little time left have little to lose. They know their time is short, but they can leave a legacy.

Not prescient at all.. All that is needed is to look at Canada’s and English Health care systems..
Its all there... Single payer is scam for bureaucrats a power grab and ratcheting up of tyranny..
Merely a socialist(communist) ploy.. gambit.. Coup D’Etat of givernment over reach..

Promising good service for ALL BUT.. gives good service to NONE...
Except for the ones that are excused FROM IT.. the EXEMPT ones..

BAIT and SWITCH from Capitalism to Socialism.. simple really..
And at least half the republicans went for it like a Chimp fishing for termites..

Sarah is STILL having a hard time washing the “STINK” of Juan McLaim off her..
I feel for her.. hard to get that stink out of yer hair..
One of the few mistakes she’s made..

Some of us are wondering when the main stream media will take a look at how much this policy will lower the life expectancy of the population?

To what extent has the life expectancy of Americans been lowered by the killing of millions of babies via abortion?

Hearing that woman’s story, THAT is what a death panel is all about..the left decides who lives and who dies..the left loves holding people’s lives in their hands, that is why they love abortion so much..they decide if that precious little baby lives or dies..they love the power

Sour Krauthammer needs to apologize.

Never gonna happen. Those who take excessive pride in their intellectualism don't seem to have the capacity to admit that they weren't as bright as someone from a no-name school who isn't part of the elitist circles.

Kruat's a sharp guy and is often quite brilliant, but this is major flaw in his psyche, as it is with other Beltway insiders.

I’ll never forget that time in which Krauthammer so condescendingly dismissed Palin for her “death panel” remark, saying she should “leave the room,” ostensibly leaving the issues to experts like him and his beltway buddies. Then, within moments of that, he repeated the EXACT same criticism of Obamacare that Palin had written on her “death panel” Facebook posting. Exact same thing.

That was so damned jerky of him. I’ve never really paid much attention to him since.

I remember that clearly. He vile arrogance is disgusting.

The viciousness of his attacks against Palin were disturbing. The guy has serious mental problems.

The Ivy league graduates have done more damage to this Republic than ALL of our enemies.

You r right to worry about your parents as I worry about my elderly relatives. But God is still in control and takes care of us, He truly does. He will see us through these dark days. U R correct, the left r evil, evil people.

For all I know she voted for Obama, but I do pray she knows Jesus. Freepers, our country may have to go through very dark days before a majority of us come back to Jesus.

And who will suffer the most when they ration care?

Health care always has been and always will be rationed, as indeed is any good for which the demand is essentially infinite.

Rationing takes different forms in different countries. In UK and Canada much of it is by limited resources and waiting periods. In US it has been, till now, largely by whether people have health insurance and the specific rules of their policy. In a few cases it is about whether an individual or family is able to afford a specific treatment.

But no society has or ever will be able to provide the same highest possible degree of health care to all that it gives to its rich and powerful.

In fact, as the technology for health care expands, the differential inevitably increases.

So we have the right claiming that we had no rationing prior to Obamacare, and the Left claiming that Obamacare will eliminate rationing.

But we haven't had, and can't have, a rational discussion about how we will decide what quality of care will be provided to different individuals or groups.

Don't get me wrong, I think turning these decisions over to the federal government is about the worst conceivable option. But these decisions will be made by somebody.
