Obama is so honest that even when he lies… it’s only to be honest. Sure Obama lied to Americans… but it was for their own good. He was only lying to Americans in order to keep his promise to them.
Dan (Pfeiffer’s crazy spin) on Obama’s now infamous “If you like your plan, you can keep your plan” lie may be more addled than Orwellian. It goes through more contortions than a gymnast falling out of a plane.
Plugging in the now familiar claim that the cancelled plans were somehow “substandard”, Dan Pfeiffer tries to argue that Obama had to choose between two betrayals of the American people. Either he had to lie to them about their coverage or let them keep their “substandard” plans.
The ObamaCare plans with their high premiums and deductibles and small networks don’t guarantee access to quality affordable health insurance. But even if they did, Pfeiffer’s argument that one lie justifies another, that Americans can be tricked by lying about being able to keep their plans in order to force them into the plans that are good for them are at the heart of everything wrong with the mindset of liberalism.

Just wait until the employer mandate kicks in and millions more are forced to pay higher premiums or loose their employer supplied health insurance. If that hadn’t been delayed there would be an even more monumental storm right now.

Of course the left puts no value on the founding principles,
but...
this is a “pre-American” assumption that the nobility knew better than the peasants how the peasants should live.
Our country was founded on the premise that each person knew best for his own life,
and the governors could only govern with the consent of the governed.
So Obama had to lie to keep his promise. Obama may have also felt he needed to destroy it (country) in order to save it.

We now know there were meeting, although I'm sure Obama knew nothing about them, about the lie and it was an approved strategy.
So the lousy ends justify the diobolical means?
Your average sheeperal isn’t driven by some ideological motive to obtain power,
and I think this is where we can “lever” them really good,
if not just to rub their nose in it.
You avg sheeperal is motivated by the need to feel good about themselves as “a good person”.
And, you see, “good people” don’t deceive others to obtain/maintain power,
and “good people” don’t trick people into supporting them with a lie that will be devastating when revealed,
and “good people” don’t stick a gun in someone’s face “for their own good”.
This is the “lever” - “No, you’re NOT a good person if you support this guy and this policy. You’re a BAD person, and there will be a judgement.”

People keep thinking socialism and/or socialism mixed with fascism will work. Even though ages of human nature, 50 million (plus) dead in the 20th century, uncounted millions living in misery, and plain common sense would teach us otherwise.
My conclusion is many people are insane, easily manipulated, or easily distracted by shiny objects while their wallets and very freedoms are stolen.
