Just wait until the employer mandate kicks in and millions more are forced to pay higher premiums or loose their employer supplied health insurance. If that hadnt been delayed there would be an even more monumental storm right now.
The employer delay may not be not such a bad thing after all. People will be getting their notices early Fall of 2014, right before elections. They won't have had a year to get used to the idea, figure something out or simply give up over it. No, they'll be stunned and furious and they'll vote.

I’m quite certain that Obama will issue an edict that those notices SHALL NOT be mailed until after the election - it is the Chicago way, after all.

Not so sure, O will certainly sign an executive order forbidding cancellation notices until after the 2014 election. Didn't he tell some employers to ignore the 60 day layoff law until after one of the previous elections?
