Oddly enough, the other day I posted on a thread that the three main characteristis of Obama himself were incompetence, cronyism, and narcissism. Build an administration around that kind of leader and you’ll get just what Dr. K described.

What...is this supposed to make us stand in awe of Krauthammer?
It really is comical when folks hold this idiot out to be an intellectual.

I think there is a 4th pillar- not sure how to quite capture it.
Among lifelong democrats I know, blue collar, railroad types whose families have always voted dem ( because they’re for the “little guy”) there is this sense that somehow healthcare is embedded in the Constitution under the “general welfare” clause.
I understand it’s not an Article, but they don’t. Implied rights, like privacy (which goes out the window with nobamacare, btw) must abound in their world.
obama is attempting to appeal to this warped tradition- he thought he could hold the working class union-types in lock-step with national healthcare.

I found the article stuffy and dreadfully understated. Jay Leno probably damaged Obama a lot more last night when he said:
What is it about selling insurance that makes people liars? Your brother-in-law trying to sell it to you or the President of the United Statestheyre all just liars when it comes to insurance. Charles is late to the party and lagging way behind. Heck, even BOR has been talking impeacment lately.

If you like your health-care plan, youll be able to keep your health-care plan. Period....I think the alternate rendition is even more interesting - "If you're among the over 250 million Americans who like their healthcare plan, you'll be able to keep it" - if over 250 million Americans (out of 300 million) already liked their plans (even though many of them apparently came from bad apple companies as 'rats now claim), why was it necessary to scuttle that entire system to try to provide coverage for the remaining sliver - except to grab more power for the government.....

Much as I normally loathe Krauthammer, he completely nails it here. Obama repeatedly, and loudly promised every American that they could
Keep their health care plans -
That they could keep their doctor -
That most families would see a $2,500 annual reduction in health care costs -
And that Obamacare wouldn't add one thin dime to the national debt.
Every single one of those promises was false. Every one, a complete and utter lie. And the proof is arriving in tens of millions of mail boxes around the country every day. Even more proof is right at the Obamacare website.
Even worse, the cheerleading MSM is now revealing portions of the law that prove that this thing is anything but what Obama promised in 2009.
And now, as Reverend Wright once famously said, his "chickens are coming home to roost."

Obama simply told the framers of Obamacare, separate the people from their private insurance ASAP. Then simply put it out of his mind. Much as Stalin remembered the names of the pages of victims he murdered daily.
