A lot of the working middle class are worse off than the welfare class.

Welcome to Utopia, fools.

You can only ride our backs for so long before we’re going to tell you enough is enough.

Yeah, well, bring on the day.

Next up...bring on the death panels to rid the nation of those “rich old people” who’re supposedly draining these whiny, young, middle class urban professionals.

If this system is going to be sustainable, however, we’re going to need to find a way to get older and wealthier Americans to chip in more

Typical liberal spin. Instead of looking for free-market solutions, the writer simply wants to increase taxes on somebody else.

Bigger and bigger government is not the solution, pal.

——before we’re going to tell you enough is enough.-—

ha..... telling is like Obama telling Iran.

Showing that enough is too much is required. Stacking the barricades from the memorial on the White House side of the street is first order showing.

I would think there is real fear of large scale showing. There is no fear of merely telling

A teller is basically apathetic

My response to the author of this piece is that, in the 80s when you were apparently an infant, young people saw enormous growth in opportunity at the same time as they experienced declining taxation and declining interest rates. Young people could see a bright future in a great nation.

What do you think was the difference? Microprocessor technology was one factor—it opened up a lot of job opportunities but especially in the US. Health care costs were a concern then, too, but not nearly as great a concern as now. The nation had just experienced severe economic stress during the period from 1973-1982 but it turned around.

The government did not follow your implied recommendations and did not increase taxation of the old and the wealthy. Despite that, the nation and its youth did spectacularly well.

Hmmmmm—could there be any other explanation?

I am older, and likely wealthier than him. I cannot chip in any more. I am stretched to the limit, and have not even seen what the cost of my health insurance will be for next year yet.

How about another plan: get rid of 0bamacare, and he can keep his old plan with minimal premium increase. He apparently blames the older, “wealthier” for his problems, instead of blaming 0bamacare and all those who brought it to us (all the Dems, Ben Nelson, John Roberts..etc).

It is the Youth who will get rid of the Democrats/Liberal/Progressives if at all.

If they are upset now, wait until October of 2014 when they see how much the Obamacare Penalties (excuse me, taxes) will go through the roof.

Yes, the Youth are going to be Pissed!

People forget there is a difference between health care INSURANCE and health CARE.

By law those that could not afford CARE got it FREE by the states and FED in several programs. Now states will get revenue and not provide that CARE. Think we will get a tax reduction?

Hilarious - he is all in favor of redistribution, but a light bulb just went on in his information-starved brain that this type of redistribution is not sustainable as well as unfair! Someone needs to tell him that once you enable a massive central government to start re-distributing almost everything, you are screwed unless you don't work at all, or work for the government.

Even the people working for large companies are screwed because their access to doctors will take a hit + the employer mandate will cause millions of them to be dumped into the same crappy Obamacare exchange this guy is now enjoying.

If this system is going to be sustainable, however, we’re going to need to find a way to get older and wealthier Americans to chip in more.

Isn't that special? The problem with Obastardcare is we aren't forcing enough old people to chip in more. Bless his heart!

How is it the writer's hero puts it? "Ask the old and wealthy to contribute just a little bit more?"

“You can only ride our backs for so long before we’re going to tell you enough is enough.”

Your Mom and Dad are at the door with their luggage.
Which room is theirs? Mom is too sick to get down the stairs and Dad has a hard time getting her to the bathroom, so they are going to need you to hire a nurse.
Oh and by the way, they both need rides to their doctors and a check to pay them.

Bwaaahaaahaaa.

This is just another version of, “Hey, I was all for Obamacare giving health care to the uninsured until I found out I was paying for it”.
