Each Saturday, hundreds of hungry people descend on the pantrys headquarters, an unassuming house on a residential block. The first people arrive around 2 am, forming a line that will wrap around the block before Das even opens his doors. I'll bet the neighbors love the crap out of having poverty-stricken waifs standing in a line around the block at 2AM every Saturday morning. Doesn't anybody do Zoning any more? Or is that only for Churches?
