Rand Pauls Summer Vacation vs Barack Obama’s
Patriots Billboard ^ | 10/17/13

Posted on 10/17/2013 6:32:02 PM PDT by Nachum

We’ve Heard All About Obama’s Vacations, But Not Much About KY Senator Rand Paul’s Summer Break. He and a Partner Teamed up to Do Pro Bono Eye Surgeries for the Poor. People Who Came to the Surgery Center “Legally Blind or Much Worse” Were All Seeing Before They Left.

Isn’t It Interesting What The Media Considers Newsworthy? Wonder Why The Media Isn’t Interested In That? Guess It Doesn’t Fit The Image They Try To Create For Conservatives.

People in the medical profession used to do this more. Those were more religious times of course.

When Medicaid/Medicare underpay so much, there's less left in the tank for true charity work.

I don't know if it is still so, but at one time the only way physicians in congress could practice their profession was gratis, and often overseas because they couldn't afford malpractice insurance working here gratis. They weren't allowed to earn money beyond their congressional salary d/t idiotic campaign finance regulations. The regs, as then written, pretty much only restricted physicans from working outside of Congress. Several elected physicans have similarly donated their time. They love their work, don't want to retire and don't want to lose their skills through lack of practice.

Rand Slams Congress for Funding Egypt’s Generals:
‘How Does Your Conscience Feel Now?’

Sen. Rand Paul is hammering his fellow senators for keeping billions in financial aid flowing to Egypt’s military — even as Cairo’s security forces massacre anti-government activists.

[by “anti-government activists” is meant church-burning jihadists]

Rand Paul’s immigration speech

...The Republican Party must embrace more legal immigration.

Unfortunately, like many of the major debates in Washington, immigration has become a stalemate-where both sides are imprisoned by their own rhetoric or attachment to sacred cows that prevent the possibility of a balanced solution.

Immigration Reform will not occur until Conservative Republicans, like myself, become part of the solution. I am here today to begin that conversation.

Let’s start that conversation by acknowledging we aren’t going to deport 12 million illegal immigrants.

If you wish to work, if you wish to live and work in America, then we will find a place for you...

This is where prudence, compassion and thrift all point us toward the same goal: bringing these workers out of the shadows and into being taxpaying members of society.

Imagine 12 million people who are already here coming out of the shadows to become new taxpayers.12 million more people assimilating into society. 12 million more people being productive contributors.

[but he’s not in favor of amnesty, snicker, definition of is is]

You’ve only posted those about 8000 times, jeez, can we stay on point and at least show some decency for a man who uses his time to GIVE vs. take?

Just give some compassion for someone who does not have to do this with is free time.

I applaud Rand Paul for his charitableness on this issue.

I absolutely DEPLORE Rand Paul for proposing, and sticking to his own AMNESTY PLAN!

I applaud SunkenCiv for keeping this Rand Paul Folly front and center whenever an attempt to campaign for Rand Paul starts on FreeRepublic.

SunkenCiv is doing a Public Service..

And I would argue, given the importance of defeating EVERY Amnesty attempt, and making sure that our options for President are clearly defined early and often, that the time and place for honesty about each and every presidential candidate is now and each and every day and opportunity that arises until the election of 2016 is complete.

We need to be vigilant and we need to be vigorous in our attempts to inform, otherwise, we'll end up with another GWB, great on somethings and absolutely horrendous (Amnesty, TARP, Fiscal Responsibility) on others.

We have one shot to turn this around in 2016, let's not waste it on someone who is truly not a complete conservative.
