Two Walmart locations in Louisiana decided to be good community members and accept EBT cards “without limits,” essentially on the honor system, to help users in a time of need. That’s right, Walmart.

That's one way of looking at it. Another way would be, some irresponsible bonehead up the corporate ladder of W-M called it for the moochers and looters.

Here in my little county, 17% are on food stamps....almost 6000 of them. They get $134 per person - a ‘family’ that has two kids, lies about income (not really checked anymore) can get almost $600/month of free money.

The further south you go, towards DeKalb and Fulton Counties that percentage gets much higher....there are some black-controlled cities/counties that reach upwards of 40-45%.

When all this goes south because of one reason or another, those counties with 30-40% are in for some real civil strife - IOW Obama’s children riots.

Well whoever called it will be using those EBT cards him/herself. At least if it was a just world they would.

If Walmart had shut them down the NAACP and the ACLU would have been in there quicker than 5 minute grits. There would have been Walmart executives sitting in front of Congress. The “victims of racism” would have been heroes on tomorrows Opra Show.

When the money is gone, it’s gone, until the next month.

But during that outage, I read/heard (don't recall where, maybe here) that when one individual's EBT card didn't work, she pulled out a second, then a third. When they didn't work she pulled out a "wad of cash that would choke a horse" and paid that way. There is no record of her leaving in an Escalade, but it wouldn't surprise me.

We can't make grocery clerks responsible for law enforcement, but that incident should get the attention of the police. Unless, of course, investigating it would somehow be deemed "RACIST"!

Most EBT users would not march into someone’s house and steal money from them, but they basically live that way only with the government as the middleman entering people’s houses for them.

Yes, many of them would .... if the EBT quits working altogether for any length of time .... couple of days, a week. They'll steal money, food, anything they can get their hands on. The Louisiana situation was a 'flash MOB' in a heartbeat ... just let them think/find out the EBT is worthless one of these days. Obama doesn't need a brownshirt brigade, all he needs are EBT mobs, then turn the EBT spigot back on when they've done his dirty work for him and he needs them back under control.

Another way of looking at it—It was the smart thing to do to protect the Wal-Mart employees from the wrath of the EBT card holders. The employees aren’t paid enough to tell the ~entitled~ they’re limited to $50 a day.

Sorry, WalMart, but an honor system requires the involvement of honorable people.

If Republicans can’t figure out how to message the importance and virtues of self-reliance and rugged individualism again,

What planet is he on? Self reliance and rugged individualism are no part of the Republican program of big government and government reliance and enhancing Democrat election chances. The best possible interpretation of Republican performance in Washington is that there are NO principles involved anywhere in the game. It is purely a tug of war between two groups of oligarchs to be the recipients of America's wealth. Us vs Them and they all wear the same suits.

I think the person who made the call saved lives and prevented the destruction of the store. Gibsmedats don’t like being told no.

There are plenty of EBT customers in the Walmarts in our area, where the stores set a $100 limit. Nobody wrought havoc.

Wouldn't that be just awful.

The excess charges should be treated as an over draft and future funds deposited credited against the over draft until it is completely reduced. There sil of course be no overdraft charges applied however.

Well, I’ve never claimed that EBT in whatever form is a black phenomenon. My county is 96% white, 1 % black, 3% other (illegal Mexicans).....

I will say this, though, the increases above 17-20% are due to the abnormal representation in those areas by black residents.
