A default was not going to happen, but the Senate republicans gave away the store.

Tea Party needs to focus on increasing its caucus in the Senate and growing its house presence, period.

Well stated. Also, how about a little analysis of what the voting demographics are. To get new people you need to know who is an
automatic against, and then work to create enough fors to overcome that margin.

The dems know one thing Demographics, and they are working night and day to have a permanent dependent majority that no amount of good intents will overcome.

I emailed and tweeted my House Rep, Ted Yost, and let him know how I feel in no uncertain terms. He better come through or I hope this will be his only term in Congress.

Pray for a Lonegan win in NJ today. I know it’s a long shot but it sure would shake up the Rinos in the Senate.

If our lives are reduced to continuing resolutions and compromises where sanity takes back seat, I understand folks dreading default but is it better than being an indentured servant, beholden to surrender half their income to a state run by ingrates and ideologues..

The best we could do?

We’ll see next go around..

My post on another thread...applies here.

The difference is when Reid says he is not budging, you know he isn’t going to. When Boehnor says he isn’t moving....everyone knows the cave is imminent. He has undermined himself over and over again and has no credibility with anyone.

I would agree that given Boehnor’s well known history of capitulation, it would be hard to know what to do to regain any credibility.

Everyone who voted to make re-elect him Speaker is to blame. This is nothing new. They all knew that he had zero leadership ability and zero credibility yet chose him as their leader.

I called Cruz’s DC office and left a message of full-fledged support. I have no way of knowing if I will ever have reason to regret that right now, but right now, I don’t. If nothing else, he needs to have reason to know that he had a lot of support for his fight, if we want him to take the kind of heat in the future, that he took this time. He was called everything but a child of God by the ‘rats and by his “own” party, and remained strong and unflappable through it.

A majority vote of 432 reps is 221. All of the dems can be counted to vote for Boehner.

Why woulnd't they all vote for Pelosi?

Would Pelosi instruct them to vote for Boehner to prevent another GOP leader from emerging?

Because to Pelosi, a weak Boehner is better than a strong Gohmert, for example?

Obviously, the Republicans plan to replace our votes with the people they woo when they make amnesty happen. Of course, they will always seek the independents.

Blaming it all on Boehner is silly

True! But Boehner needs to go. He needed to go long before BoehnerCare

Thanks for the info. but sorry to get it.
Boehner caving, yeah Stevie Wonder saw this coming but we hoped for better from him.
This is the end of the GOP as we know it and I consider myself proudly to be no longer one of `Boners Buttboy Battalion.’
Time for a conservative party. No more `The perfect is the enemy of the good.’ No more “Let’s be reasonable ...” No more RINOs.
If you’re conservative like Cruz, you talk; if you’re not, you walk. No Republicans needed. No more.
I just e-mailed my critter and pretty much laid it out, QED.

Why should I call my Representative Steny Hoyer and ask him to get rid of Boehner.

Right now he is bent over while Boehner is planting kisses on his butt.

If Boner really wanted to he could keep the Hastert rule. There was never a doubt he was going to cave. The majority of House Republicans are opposed to doing this.
