House Republicans are in trouble.
GOP leadership pulled their bill to open the government and lift the debt ceiling because they didnt have the votes to squeeze it through the chamber.
There will be no vote Tuesday, which means Washington will have one day to lift the debt ceiling before the U.S. government reaches its borrowing limit.
Its unclear what Speaker John Boehners team will do next. This could, once again, sideline the House and kick action over to negotiations between Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.). The U.S. government reaches its debt limit on Thursday and the government has been shut down for more than two weeks.
The bill that was pulled because of flagging support wouldve reopened the government until Dec. 15, lifted the debt ceiling until Feb. 7, while forcing everyone from the president to Capitol Hill staffers to pay more for their health insurance.

Good, shut it down...
I’d say that’s why .... people like us keep saying, let Rome fall
“republicans are in trouble”
god, I hope this whole thing collapses and all those good for nothing, fake journalists get arrested.
Why? They're doing the right thing. More and more people are slowly finding out what's in obomacare, and they're freaking out. They're waking up to what the left wing freeloaders are costing them.
I'd say the Republicans have it made as long as they don't cave and screw it up.
Good
What a waste of pizza!
This chaos concerning federal government funding is probably nowhere near the chaos that former Speaker Pelosi irresponsibly put the House through when she rammed Obamacare.
I love the smell of chaos in Washington
Is that angry black former law instructor going to get on television and lecture us again about evil Republicans harshing his choom buzz?
Is this illegal, unconstitutional, monstrosity called the Federal Government worth saving?
No.
Let it burn to the ground.
No, the RINO GOPe is in trouble. But I doubt Politico can tell the difference.....
I want to see if O-sh7tstain has the guts to default

I’ll take chaos over bipartisanship. Obamacare was passed by rebels and will only be defeated by rebels. Put Ted back in the game. Let him speak for the GOP.
I’d say harry and his trained muzzie are in trouble!
We all would have been in trouble if they'd voted for this thing.

Boehner didn’t offer conservatives ANYTHING!
The Vitter amendment is PR nonsense- and it would create an appearance of “shared sacrifice” for the ‘elite’ if it went into effect anyway.
Only hope I can see is that Boehner is setting Mitch up to be a hero to help his reelection chances.
But who can imagine Mitch being William Wallace? ... which is what he’d have to do.
