Per Baltimore Radio (WCBM), Food Stamp System is Down

On the Chuck Brooks Law-Call hour, 12:00-1:00 pm, Saturday October 10, on the Baltimore station WCBM, two separate callers stated that the "Food Stamp System" was not working at several Baltimore grocery stores. The second caller mentioned that folks in the store were blaming Republicans.

I cannot personally confirm these reports. Are other Freepers noticing this in their locations?

It will take some time to get the anger built up. They'll sit and feed off each other for a little while first. Blaming the man. Then a spark and then all hell will break loose. Not everyone on EBT is going to riot. it's going to be the usual (Amish) suspects.

Obama is upping the ante in his negotiations with the Republicans. If things get too far out of hand, he can use the martial law option, and this is leverage he will use against the Republicans this weekend.

Quite possibly. obama also visited FEMA Region 3 HQ recently.

I would not put it past obama to lock up or shoot some his own people in order to incite the rest. He can always blame the decision on some underling.

I agree with you .. this may be a test .. a test to scare the hell out of repubs so they will cave to the president’s demands.

However, as usual, the dems/libs never bother to follow through with something they plan to do .. therefore, this could well blow up very big in their faces.

I’d guess the National Guard better start gearing up for what may happen by Monday; being a holiday and all.

I’m going into redneck country Monday; but, there is a 7-11 very close by where I’m going. If it looks too unsteady, I may just stay home.

If you know people who work for large facilities where there would possibly be a lot of food (restaurants, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, etc.) .. I suggest you call them and alert them to be a little more cautious than usual.

Remember, gang and mob mentality is very dangerous.

The representative said the glitch is affecting people nationwide. She could not say when officials expected the system to be restored.

People calling the customer service line were being told to call back later.

I wouldn’t trust them at all, since more and more states are just now going offline .. and, when did the “power outage” happen ..??

Plus, if they had a power outage - these things would have shut down everywhere immediately .. not just a continuing tumble-down shut-off which is getting bigger and bigger.

And .. are all of these shutdowns happening in RED states ..?? or states with large populations using the EBT cards ..??
