Intruder shot to death in Maine home invasion
WGME 13 - News ^ | September 30, 2013 | Katherine Underwood

"This guy approached him on going to scare, possibly beat, up, not kill somebody, and he would pay him, and pay him quite a bit of money," she explained.

They say Dennison went to the home on Foss Hill Lane to scare the homeowner into paying back an outstanding debt.

"I know it's not legal, it's not right," Thibault admitted.

They say their family is struggling financially and so Dennison was trying to help. But State Police tell another side of this story.

"He was up to no good," explained police spokesman Steve McCausland.

Police say Dennison, wearing a black ski mask and armed with brass knuckles, burst through the front door at about 8 p.m. Saturday and that's when the homeowner, Richard Duffy, fought back.

"The homeowner was armed, fired shots, and Dennison died of multiple gunshot wounds," McCausland said.

This is the kind of stupidity that proves that there is a need for armed self-defense. This thug kicks in the front door of a stranger's home wearing brass knuckles and the homeowner fatally shoots him in self-defense. The thug's wife responds saying the thug was justified because they were having financial difficulty. "'Sometimes doing bad things to help your family is what it comes down to, because nobody will help you,' Thibault said". Typical liberal thinking that tough times justify criminal behavior.

According to the thug's wife, the thug would not have kicked in the front door if he know there was a teenaged son in the house at that time. Yeah, right! Then, the thug's poor son says that he could not ask for a better dad. Touching sentiment, but I hope that he finds a better role model in the future.

Who knows what people like this are capable of doing? Imagine having to confront people like this unarmed.

I’ll bet that the perp has a rap sheet as long as your arm for petty crimes and possibly a felony or two.

” Imagine having to confront people like this unarmed. “

Trayvon supporters think that you should just have to take a beating.

As I have said many times, liberals don’t want normal, productive, non-violent people to be able to defend themselves, so the underclass can just waltz in and take what is ‘rightfully’ theirs.

The wife admitted that she and her son were accessories to the crime because they knew what the dead perp was going to do.

The DA should get an indictment from a grand jury quite easily.

“so the underclass can just waltz in and take what is ‘rightfully’ theirs.”

it is more efficient and saves a lot of time than having to run it through the tax collectors hands first.

I noticed that too. Those poor thugs have it so rough already. So, victims need to just settle for being victims. Until the victims just happen to be liberals, then it is a different story of course.

Please someone tell me the person who was going to pay this clown 2K is in jail. I think this is conspiracy and is another felony plus he is on the hook for the home invasion felony. Get away car drivers, bank robber planners and lookouts are all part of the crime and need to do the time.

Do I get to be the first to say never bring brass knuckles to a gun fight? The guy got exactly what he deserved, same as he would have got breaking into my home.

“Thank God Maine has a Tea Party governor.”

I voted for him (Paul LePage) in November, 2010 and I’ll
be voting for him again in November, 2014. He’s great.

People here in the mostly rural State of Maine are heavily armed. It’s never a good idea for a criminal to break into someone’s home, especially when the homeowner or family member is there.

Don’t be coy. I have heard rumors to the effect you were carrying pictures. In fact I have heard you had an 8” X 10” glossy over your mantle. “I heard it on the grapevine.”
