NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH)-- In the midst of major changes in health care, United HealthCare has sent thousands of pink slips to Connecticut doctors.

Termination letters went to physicians caring for Medicare patients.

Those letters were sent out to doctors caring for 'Medicare Advantage' patients.

It's a plan, marketed to Seniors to provide additional services through UnitedHealthCare.

A mix of primary care and specialty doctors are affected by it. And it comes at a questionable time.

Open enrollment for Medicare starts next Tuesday, and it's still not clear at this time as to which doctors are still in the United network....

Oddly enough, there is a sign in the window at my dermotologist(SP) front window stating that they don’t accept the aarp approved United Health Care insurance. Been there for a long time so, is there a problem with united from the git-go? I don’t do anything associated with aarp. In fact they don’t even send me anything in the mail anymore after I hammered them several years ago.

A lot of people are going to learn the hard way that health care coverage and actual health care are two totally different things.

The dems will get the blame as will everyone in DC, as they should, for not stopping it.

Still hearing callers saying, “I’m a conservative, have been for 53 and a half years bla bla bla, Ted Cruz didn’t do it correctly, he should have manipulated, twisted, anticipated, not said...”

Oh and the radio host (NOT Rush, Levin, nor even Hannity) agrees, “oh, yes well harrumph, I like Cruz, but...”

The whole lot of them will get blamed EXCEPT for Cruz and anyone who was aware enough of his own job description to stand with him.

There will be no doubt who was against Obamacare.

This is exactly why I do NOT want any delays in implementing 0baMaocare....I want it to start affecting voters and their pocketbooks - with a full year to let it all sink in before the 2014 elections.

If you want to keep your doctor, you may have to move to Costa Rica with him!

Medicare Advantage regs differ from state to state.

Something doesn’t ring true about this article.

In my state, all an insurance co has to do is withdraw from the Medicare Advantage program. My 2013 insurance co just did that for 2014. Other insurers have dropped out in previous years, and some new ones have been added in recent years.

Additionally, doctors have the option of accepting Medicare or Medicare Advantage plans. My Internist’s clinic accepts some, but not all.

Perhaps the MA set-up in CT is different, but in my state and in adjoining state, MA insurance companies do not employ doctors for MA.

It sounds more like UnitedHealthCare reduced their ‘network’ of doctors. That probably means they are dropping out of the MA for next year.

And idiots like McCain, who could point to this as prima facia evidence of the impending fuster cluck, instead choose to denounce efforts by the few politicians with gumption to delay ObaMaoCare.

What happens when you reduce supply and increase demand?

Everyday a new problem with Obamacare comes up, the better Cruz looks. I think he knows full well that Obamacare will inevitably collapse under its own weight and those who pushed for it will be held accountable by the voters when they finally see its unworkable.

How any one could EVER believe that anything good could EVER come from a 2000 page bill that was passed by a process THIS corrupt, just boggles the mind.

For patients, he (0bama) made a sweeping pledge that “no matter how we reform health care, we will keep this promise: If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor. Period. If you like your health care plan, you will be able to keep your health care plan. Period. No one will take it away. No matter what. My view is that health care reform should be guided by a simple principle: fix what’s broken and build on what works.”

Yep. If Dems were smart they’d take that one-year delay from the RINOS and fall to their knees in eternal gratitude.
Just can’t get that by Barry’s massive ego.

Probably.

The reality is, he didn't care whether the words he spoke were the truth!

Barack Obama truly is our modern-day Marie Antoinette!

His first cavalier, then mean and vicious behavior is bordering on Ivan the Terrible!

McCain is a major problem that the Republican Party needs to deal with. He has done significant damage to the party brand, such as it is. Someone has to show him the exit door and tell him to join his pals on the other side of the isle. The rest of the RINOs will quickly get the message.

I am seeing ads now for Capitol Blue Cross that says they are in ALL 50 States. I don’t know of any other company that can make that claim. Are they the chosen Obamacare Provider?
