Update: Air Force officials have agreed to administer a secular oath and to allow
a revision of the written oath the Officer Trainee was required to sign to remove
the “so help me God” reference. Maj. Stewart L. Rountree has written attorneys for
the American Humanist Association and the Military Association of Atheists
and Freethinkers that the entire graduating class will be informed of the option to
take a secular oath and apologized for the error. “Our previous legal advisors
were mistaken in advising us that it was required,” Maj. Roundtree wrote. “Our
current legal advisors made me aware and we will ensure it reaches all corners
of our program.”

My stepdaughter was inducted last month. The officer doing the induction gave the choice of swearing to God or a secular version. No one in the group took the secular option.
Because the Commander-in-Chief is an atheist.

Would McCain or Romney really have been any different? Would they have caved on immigration? Would they have caved on healthcare? Would they have caved on homosexuals in the military? Would they have caved on gay marriage? Yes they would.
Now think to 2016. If Chris Christie or Jeb Bush is the GOP nominee and elected will either fight to roll back what has been done over the past 8 years. George W. Bush did nothing to roll back the welfare state. In fact he expanded it with new entitlements, lots of pork, and huge deficit spending. Does anyone believe a Christie or Jeb administration won’t just be more of the same?

It seems to me that I always come across stories of the USAF being the most hostile to Christianity, relative to the other service branches (although it seems the US Army is not far behind).

Why did they remove it? For the same reason the Obama-appointed LIBERAL general officers caved into queering of the US armed forces. Their jobs are more important than what is right and decent and good for the military. When this sorry SOB Obama is out of office, IF he’s replaced by a republican, the new president should ask for the resignation of each and every senior officer that was appointed by this anti-God, anti-American piece of trash “president”. If they don’t tender their resignation, fire every damn one of them. The reason? Liberals appoint liberals. And we now have nothing but Wesley Clark types running the US military, in all branches.
