Now, they are fear-mongering "VETERANS WON'T GET PAID!!!". Andrea Mitchell, "15 million people might not get checks!"

The criteria to evaluate whether a job should exist is not the welfare of the person performing the job. Jobs must be justified by the service the job provides to society. When the shutdown harms government workers, but not society at large, that tells us that the jobs shouldn’t have existed in the first place. We’d all be better off in the long run if the workers were laid off and incentivized to find work in a productive sector of our economy.

I’m not so sure...this was conducted by a dem and a repub...it looks like both parties are not well thought of...but make no mistake, the republicans are detested according to this poll.

The number I question is Obama at 47% approval (there’s that number again!)...Many other polls have him somewhere between 37-44%. Rasmussen has him at 51, though.

Shitting down the government is either hurting both obama and republicans...or republicans a little bit more. Not sure the strategy is working for conservatives....
