Gunmen have shot dead a German employed as a bodyguard at his country's embassy in the Yemeni capital Sanaa. The man was killed by attackers in an apparent unsuccessful kidnap attempt on the German ambassador.
Germany’s ambassador to Yemen appeared to have escaped a kidnapping attempt in the capital, Sanaa, on Sunday in which a bodyguard was killed.
The pan-Arab news channel al-Arabiya reported that the guard had been killed as the attackers tried to kidnap the German ambassador, Carola Müller-Holtkemper.

Kind of like us sending a female ambassador to Egypt? Or a gay ambassador to a devoutly Catholic country? Democrats love rubbing their disdain in other countries faces. Then they wonder why much of the world hates us.
We didn’t allow much interaction with Communists behind the Iron Curtain during the Cold War. I don’t see interactions with Islamics much differently.

We are paying to enforce the Saudi border with Yemen at the same time that the unofficial Prez order has come down to NOT enforce our own with Mexico.
If there is a historical precedent for that then I’m all ears.
Closest thing I can think of was after the earthquake we helped seal the border between Haiti and Dominican Republic. Ironic to say the least.
