“STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Lew; Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas; Reps. Steve King”

For me this seems to be the only one worth watching, we will see how leaders lead and hold the line...

It’s just amazing to watch Cruz handle the progressive liberal media, communist reporters, and talking heads.

Hopefully Steve King will be ok; I suspect Peter King will throw Cruz and R’s under the bus. Conryn is a question mark.

Debt ceiling needs to be pointed out by Cruz that it will be a constitutional crisis and most Americans don’t even know that it is Congress’ job to approve spending (not Senate, not President’s).

Question; when the government plans for a shutdown, who decides if an employee is essential or non-essential? Since the House has already voted 407-0 to pay the non-working government employees, I would think that if I were a government employee, I would request to classified as non-essential, so that I could get some paid time off that does not come out of my PTO bank.

Funding the non-working government payrollers is the worst decision Republicans can make. And we wonder why we are 17 Trillion (with a T) in debt? Really?

Many moderate Republicans have been advising Tea Party Republicans that they should pick another battle; find a battle they can win.

When you tour the Alamo, where among all the memorabilia is the display of the White Flag?

Candy is actually treating Lew the way we would expect her to treat a Republican. Interesting to watch.

He has a catch phrase: “if we don’t pay our bills, we are in default” and slides social security checks into this equation.

It seems like the outcome of a longterm shutdown (and I’m not saying this is gonna last much longer) would be that some congressional RINOs would be driven to change parties and become Demoviks.

And THAT would be a good thing because the Republican party might then be primed to become a growth industry with millions of Americans who don’t trust it today (to wit: my fellow evangelicals)likely to start migrating its way.

But unless the RINOs are driven out, I think the Republican enterprise is doomed to flicker like a dying flame—with the Tea Party brightening at each interval.

FOX's Wallace debates the severeness of the default.
FOX plays Obama and Obama's side multiple times,
and notes Obama is not negotiating.

Wallace corrects Lew twice on his attempted revision
of history.
Lew can only change the subject.

Wallace has done a good job.

When will anyone discuss and address that
the Dear Leader has closed the Oceans
and the Veterans' Monuments,
while leaving all US borders wide-open, even more.
He continues weaponizing al Qaeda,
weaking America and its (lost) freedom
while ignoring his indefensible abrogation
of the US Constitution.

The carnage continues only because of two reasons.
The US Congress is too busy with its image
and personal bank accounts (as they evade the Oath).
Second, the pandering, shameless MSM has as much regard
for investigative journalism and integrity,
as their undocumented impostor has for the maxim:
"Equal Justice Under the Law".

Reps. Peter King, R-N.Y.,

He just spews the same old Republican minority chestnut, we can only repeal it. The undercurrent argument is Obamacare will be just like the way we repealed welfare, Medicaid, Section 8, etc., when people saw how BAD those programs were...

Oh, wait.

$16 trillion of debt later the RINOs are sure that passive aggressive behavior is still the ONLY way to go.

Wallace starts asking two Repubs if Boehner should still be the Speaker but would he dare ask Demoviks if Harry Reid should still be Leader? The big media including Fox just isn’t even PRETENDING anymore.

It’ll be kind of weird not seeing George Will on ABC morning on sunday. We I was in college I always enjoyed watching This Week with David Brinkley and I remember seeing Will on there. Yes he is a bit of a inside the beltway type but sometimes he slaps down the lefty the way they should.

MTP has Savannah Guthrie sitting in for DNC Dave, who must be still recovering from the beatdown administered by Ted Cruz last week. The MSM simply cannot handle Cruz-Control.
