I've had to call the cops three times in my life (burglary, burglary, car theft). In each case, they wrote stuff down, told me nothing would happen, and left. They don't do anything.
Ok, one cop was undercover. What about the other 4 cops? Were they members of this MC on their off-time? If so, they should be fired.
...and key officials will be deeply disturbed.
Oh, and thanks to the Daily Mail for running the article. Brits reporting the news: doing the job American jourbalists won’t do!
Hmm, sounds like Allred should be suing the cops for not stopping the whole feral bunch in the beginning.
As I said earlier, this just smells worse and worse and the info leaks out. Notice it is leaking from a UK paper? Doesn’t fit the US Pravda template, does it?
Funny when it was first reported it was a biker Gang then when the police were involved it was downplayed to a biker group next it will be downplayed to Chuch minded motorcycle riders on there way to a motorcycle blessing. Hope the driver sues the NYPD and the City.
All the cops involved should be fired with prejudice. They do not deserve to wear badges.
The cops have their own little motorcycle gang. How lovely.
This needs to be torn up, root and branch. I would start by revoking the motorcycle license of every NYPD officer in the city. If they don’t like it, they can quit.
It’s like the end of A Clockwork Orange... the thugs have become the police.
1/3.
This is one of the drawbacks of playing Satan. You don’t get to be a hero when you could have.
As I understand it, an undercover cop who took 4 days to get around to mentioning that he was involved. I don’t see any reason he should continue being a policeman.
Interesting that there is an undercover narcotics officer who does not want to reveal himself that is a member of this club. The other four (at least) law enforcement officers are apparently known quantities to the other bikers who have a narcotics investigation going against them (thus the assignment of an undercover agent in their midst).
These other officers must not be a risk to any of the drug related activities in the group.
Is it any wonder that police officers lose the trust of the public more and more as time goes on?
Cops perform a necessary function. Sometimes, they even prevent or stop crimes in progress. Depending on the community being policed, being a cop can be a dangerous and thankless job. For the most, you are right about cops not being there when you need them. They usually show up after the crime has been committed and the perp has gotten away. A 2nd Amendment activist on Youtube said it best, “Cops are not first responders. The person who witnesses or experiences a crime directed at them is the first responder. Most of the time, cops are, at best, 2nd responders. However, I don’t doubt the need for an effective police force. I just have more confidence in my ability to defend myself in their absence. I know when it comes down to it, chances are that I will have to take care of myself.
came from a family of NYPD....Father, Uncle, cousins...
(not I though)
know there are a majority of good guys.
also know there is a healthy minority of scumbags, dirtbags, and (never caught)criminals.....
The UK DAILY MAIL has given me more info than all the others combined!!
FTA
“The five officers were not the only ones present, WABC is reporting that the NYPD is investigating whether several off-duty corrections officers were also present.”

What is disturbing to me is that they didn’t stop this. It would not have taken much, but they didn’t do it. The cops involved should be removed. They’re not cops and they do not deserve the respect that we reserve for police officers. These people are thugs that are wearing a uniform and getting paid by taxpayers. Fire the disgusting creeps.
From the article:
The New York Post originally reported that the first undercover officer to admit being at the ruthless pounding was not the only cop at the scene, as several members of the motorcycle group- called the Front Line Soldiers- are police officers themselves.....
So the New York Post did report it earlier, but doesn't allow posting on Free Republic. So it's really 'thank you to the Daily Mail for allowing articles to be posted on Free Republic, so Freepers can stay informed.'
And not one stepped forward. They should all be canned.
