I look at it this way. The longer the people who really fund this country’s largess through their dutiful obedience to traditional responsibilities, the more and more freedom we lose to this tyrant. I refuse to let this tyrant take it all in the next three years he is in power.

So, if I came into a windfall before the end of the year(like won a gazillion dollar Powerball jackpot)and I set up my finances in such a way that I lived entirely on the winnings in 2014 without earning any income from investments, would I qualify for a subsidy?

First thing I’d do is look into is an irrevocable trust not controlled by myself. I’d then plead poverty and claim anything I could get my hands on that they would give me.

Another problem is when people with this insurance have a catastrophic illness. Most will not have saved for that and you'll have a whole new category of loans that will be defaulted on....health insurance copayment loans.

Wouldn't it be amazing if the irony of this whole mess is that even less people end up having health insurance?

It is easy to recognize the obvious PONZI SCHEME called Obamacare.

Obamacare has nothing to do with health, care, or medicine.

Obamacare has EVERYTHING to do with insurance.

Obamacare is a Federal Insurance Monopoly.

Obamacare is in violation of US Anti-Trust Laws.

Obamacare is a Federal Insurance Premium Collection Agency, aka FIPCA for Obamacare.

We CONSERVATIVES know that there will be other future Federal Insurance Ponzi Schemes, right down to the Insurance Premium collected for the inhaling of the EPA ruled toxic gas CO2.

Then FIPCA will be there to collect that CO2 Insurance premium from all citizens.

But I digress, so let us focus on the present.

If Boehner Caves In to the Court of Public Opinion, which is run by the Low Information Liberal “Mainstream” Media, and Obamacare is funded, Obama can then raise every year or quarter his Obamacare insurance premiums as high as he wants to, and the sorry US Congress can’t do anything about it.

Congress will thus be bypassed, and will no longer be needed in the future to fund the vote buying schemes of the social engineering POTUS.

Could Boehner be stupid enough to come up with his own Boehnercare Ponzi Scheme?

I believe that premiums are paid to the insurance company, no pay - no insurance (after a waiting period).

Mrs. Catnipman, who is self-employed and has no health insurance, has already decided just to wait until she gets sick to buy insurance. She’s not eligible for subsidies because my former employer offers me health insurance (that I pay for) but not my family members. Therefore she is ineligible for subsidies unless we divorce.

Without subsidies, the costs are unbelievably ridiculous and benefits minimal. Even with a divorce and subsidies, it’s still not worth buying. It’ll be much more cost-effective to be fined and refuse to pay the fine and buy insurance when it’s actually needed.

I bet it doesn’t even have to be catastrophic. What if its just an ER visit costing lets say between 2-5 thousand dollars but even this relatively small amount could be a tipping point for those who are living paycheck to paycheck with a high deductible policy.
