Politics: The Obama administration's decision to barricade the open-air and otherwise unguarded World War II memorial is just the latest sign that the president will do anything to get his way. Is the public finally getting wise?
Anyone who's ever visited Washington, D.C., knows that while the National Mall is technically a federally owned park, it can't be closed. There are no fences around its 309 acres. No entrances. No guard posts. Just wide open spaces dotted with monuments and museums. There's the Washington Monument, which requires a guide to get to the top. But that's closed for repairs.
So the administration decided instead to put barricades around various other popular open-air Mall monuments to score political points in the budget shutdown standoff. That required, in turn, posting freshly printed signs explaining why they're off limits, and a police presence to guard the barricades.

“Don’t call my bluff, because I’m telling you right now: I got nothing.”
Barry Barrycaded Internet sites like Everify and shut down hiring in the private sector.
The undocumented unAmerican Moslem Tyrant (by Fraud)
sent more people to keep Veterans out of THEIR monument,
then he sent to rescue the Ambassador and the Patriots
slaughtered by Obama’s friends (al Qaeda/MB) in Benghazi.
so it cost more money to barricade the things, is the whole point.
Obama is an a$$hole
"That's all you got, lady. Two wrong feet in ....... ugly shoes."
Another worthless red line in the sand for obama...
This is actually the thought process of those on the left who refuse to believe that this is simply their spiteful boy throwing a tantrum and punishing the people.
Thank you, WW II Vets!
The Dims are giving us such great lines showing who they really are; too bad our side doesn’t have the balls or the brains to use them. Lines like “I will not negotiate” and Harry Greed when asked about helping kids with cancer, “Why would we want to do that?”
Will the wobbly republicans snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?
I think even some on the LEFT will wake up to him.
Democrats are looking VERY bad in all this....NOT the Republicans....well, except for Peter king and a few others.
WAY TO GO, BOEHNER and McConnell et al......STAY STRONG!!
Undoubtedly, yes. Wobblers are already rushing for the exits. 17 so far and counting wobbly Pubbies are worried about O’s feelings and stories full of lies from the MSM. We need a whip who can crack the whip. Get those ninnies back in line or show them the door permanently.
Actually, he isn’t. After all, an @sshole has a USE. . . although both do nothing but dispense crap. . .
The real enemy in America is the media. The Democrats could not exist in their current form without a complicit mainstream press.
This is the very type of thing that could cause the very same political conditions of the American colonies between 1763 and 1776. I hope the President of the United States and the Democrats in Congress realize this.
I haven’t seen that info!
The Obama Domestic Policy: This is what happens when I don’t get what I want.
Let’s be clear here - The National Park Service (NPS) is the United States federal agency that manages all national parks, many national monuments, and other conservation and historical properties with various title designations.
It is an agency of the United States Department of the Interior. Most of the direct management of the NPS is delegated by the Secretary of the Interior to the National Park Service Director, who must be confirmed by the Senate.
Jonathan Jarvis is the National Park Service Director.
He reports directly to Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell.
Her office is in the White House and she takes orders directly from President Obama.
