Republican Rep. Spencer Bachus, the longest-serving member of Alabama's House delegation, said Monday he will not seek re-election in 2014 after his current term.

The 6th District congressman, who first made the announcement during a live interview on WBRC-TV, said he is too worried about problems like the national debt to resign, yet he also is frustrated by the climate in Washington

Spencer Bachus is a usually conservative member of congress. However, he says it is the Christian thing of him to support amnesty and flood the country with scab Dem voters. If you ask me it is his stocks he is most interested in. This is the fifth most conservative district in the country so this is a lucky break.

Bachus is a moderate in these parts. He was weLl entrenched and many people liked him. Glad he is going. I would like to see Scott Beason in that job.
